I bought this book years ago when we were traveling and homeschooling our daughter. I recently picked it back up off the bookshelf and re-read it, and thoroughly enjoyed it again. It is really pointed at helping novices and teaching situations at the seaside, but it's gone on several beach trips with me over the years and has been a source of helpful information.

This time, I just read it to read it, and still enjoyed it.

Perfect seaside companion. I’m especially drawn in by the illustrations & the book has proven to be a necessary reference for me while I sharpen my seaside bird identification & study more about a sea creature I’ve always been fascinated by: the horseshoe crab.

prepping for sea camp with my daughter and her 6th grade class!

Added: I got through most of this book, and it was a great summary to prep me for hanging around with the class, who of course knew even more than I did!

Great! It tells you pretty much everything you wanted to know about the seaside. If you dig marine life, you'll dig this book.
