Do you know what the best thing is? having a not-so-happy day and see that a new chapter of BSD is out😭 what an excellent thing to read BSD as my first read of the year, that last chapter, man we saw AKUTAGAWA we saw DAZAI and SIGMA now what do I call this, when it was only for 9 pages?🥹

“I may not be able to see the future, but I can view the past. More than twenty years of history.”

This volume is nothing if not one thing happening after the other, and none of those things are exactly rainbow and sunshine but, really, the furthest thing there is.

Kenji terrifies me. That's it. He does. He is the aforementioned sunshine and rainbows but he also can freeze my blood in one second. Still, I loved his exchange here and that's one pairing I never thought of but I'm quite in love with now.

On the other hand, Teruko is adorable but really creepy. They kind of complement each other.

Aside from those small character moments that I enjoyed, the general existential dread and very present weight of everything going on was more than enough to temper any pleasant moment and leave me shocked, chilled, disbelieving, and defiant of the whole thing.

There really was no need to go so hard on a single volume.

Getting some of Fukuzawa's backstory might have been one of the only lighter bits of the segment and even that was overshadowed by premonitions and hindsight.

Even though I wish that the end of this whole situation was near I fear that it's not, and I'm not sure that I can handle much more of this tension.

I don't think Dazai would simply let Chuuya die, if he actually wanted him to cease to exist he would've done something a long time ago. There's also the possibility of Nikolai saving both Dostoevsky and Chuuya just because he thinks they would ruin his game by dying in that way, it'd be boring.

Me estoy sintiendo al mismo tiempo defraudada y frustrada con esta historia.

Para mí que un autor de un giro de 90º a la historia está bien y que quiera alargar un poco una historia para poder desarrollarla decentemente, también. Sin embargo, yo creo que hay un limite y creo que a este mangaka se le está yendo de las manos. Me estoy perdiendo y liando un poco con la historia y al mismo tiempo al mismo tiempo que no acaba nunca este arco. Me da que como dijo una compañera el pobre se ha metido en este berenjenal y no sabe salir.

Lo que más me duele es que es un manga que me encanta y considero que está infravalorado, pero ahora mismo con esto no sé que pensar.

Not going to lie, but I was expecting more from this volume. The cover is beautiful, but most of this volume was full of Fukuchi. I only liked the chapter with Dazai, Chuuya and Fyodor (if you know, you know...) Maybe it's because I've seen the anime past this point, but I wanted more.

And that cliffhanger was so dirty. Man, how long do I have to wait for volume 24 to release in English??

Dazai in the prison got me BARKING, he's so evil genius. The part with Chuuya like my soukoku fangirl heart was throwing up tbh. I see right through the scheme though because there is no way he would actually do that to him.💀

Kenji going beast mode out of nowhere was actually terrifying and I'm lowkey sobbing about Tecchou's utter devotion to Jouno?? 😭 This series and the gay boy ships... name a more iconic duo.

I'm very confused by certain people's motivations but so is everyone else in here lmao.

TO BYŁO CUDOWNE.
Kocham tą serię całym sercem, jest to pierwsze anime które obejrzałam całe i moje pierwsze mangi i powiem szczerze, że po tej serii mam ochotę sięgnąć po więcej.
Cała seria była ciekawa, co chwilę coś się działo i nie można było się nudzić, chociaż na początku miałam problem z kolejnością czytania na stronach to gdy to ogarnęłam mogłam skupić się na historii Atsushiego, Dazaia, Ranpo, Yosano, Chuuyi, Akutakawy, Tanizaka, Kenjiego i całej reszty.
Pomysł na serię jest genialny, a wykonanie jeszcze lepsze. Świetne jest to, że postacie pasują do autorów/postaci stworzonych przez osoby na których były wzorowane, tak jak ich moce.

Que bonita portada, ante todo. Y bueno, la serie ahí va, Atsushi creo que por fin empieza a entender las cosas, el problema es que entiende más que yo.
Asagiriiiiiiii a dónde vas. Todo me dolió de este volumen. Y si en este está el pasado del director y el otro ufff que capítulo. Me dolió un montón.

Mantop macam biasa. Dalam jilid ini ada sedikit backstory mengapa Fukuchi menjadi seorang Fukuchi. Pada saya, salah satu strongest suit dalam BSD ialah setiap satu watak itu ada backstory yang kukuh. Ended with cliffhanger, akan baca jilid seterusnya.
