The book describes men as pigs, and. since they can’t be completely ignored in our lives, it provides a way of dealing with them by knowing the kind of pig you have. The book describes nine basic pig types and explains that understanding these nine types is crucial in promoting open communication channels and preparing one to deal with conflicts effectively. The book also discusses the six basic states of a man or pig (hungry, tired, horny, hurried, happy, and angry), among others, and how understanding his current state is crucial to managing it. It also discusses the themes and tips for effective communication with a pig.

This is definitely one of the most fascinating books I’ve read in a while. I can’t help but laugh every five minutes while reading. The book is written by a man, intended to look at men from a man’s general perspective, and brings the reader into a world where they learn how the simple kind of men work. I have no criticism whatsoever about the book and would give it a full rating.

There are no content warnings in the book, and it is free of profanities. I would recommend it to all women who might benefit from learning more about the various men in their lives.

I read this for what it was intended, a light-hearted book about trying to understand how to communicate with men. However, this was super simplistic and really didn't provide any usable information. I also didn't feel that I could use this to evaluate the "type" of man I may be interacting with - maybe this is a better fit for those on the Fortune 500 track? Overall I was somewhat disappointed in the lack of insight I received from reading this.

I'm not sure if I'm confused, amused, or offended. Some of the ideas were definitely solid, and some of the humour was cute and lighthearted, but in the end I really hate dating books that are based on sexism in either direction, and it's never not weird to refer to your significant other in terms of training a pet.
