spectacular paranormal women’s fiction series
This is a Aspectacular Paranormal women’s fashion series. An extraordinary cast of characters and an awesome storyline. Jules is a 49-year-old divorced mother of collard aged son. After divorcing her husband who cheated on her and tried to take everything. She moved down to Florida where her father who she didn’t even really know left her a tiki bar on the beach. as she needed a change in her life she took the chance and moved down there and took over the bar. What she did not realize is that she was actually from a long line of witches. Her father had found her powers until the day when he passed away he left her Certain items that would return them to her. Read book one and you will find out all of that information. In this book once again Jules and her crew are fighting to save the world. Many twists and turns and lots of action if you traders people pop up but can they defeat them and win in the end. in this story there are all kinds of supernatural’s living among the humans in plain sight and hidden. Jewels along with her shift her boyfriend/protector her gargoyle/parrot guardian and her demon dog/bulldog pet and her other friends in protectors battle evil to save the world And run her bar. Exceptionally good story and extraordinarily entertaining. I hope this series goes on forever. Check it out you will not be disappointed

Another fun read, but not quite as enjoyable as the first 2 books. This could have used some more editing as there were some fairly obvious spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.

Disrespect for Reader Audience
I usually enjoy Tegan Maher's books in general and that includes this series. Yes there is a "but"! BUT ... to refer to this as a novel is a slap in the face to her reader audience.
▪︎It was more of a short story than a novel
▪︎The story stopped. More like a series but without anything actually happening, ie no beginning, no middle and no end. It stopped in the middle.
▪︎Glaring punctuation and grammar errors. There's no way it was properly edited. If it was, did the author ignore all suggestions?
This is why I titled this review - Disrespect for Reader Audience. We have been taken for granted and the writer assumed we wouldn't notice or we wouldn't care.
Whatever the reason/s, the end result is one of disappointment.

So far, I really like this series. As a woman whose age of 50 was at least a decade ago, I was happy to find a series whose heroine was a woman of a certain age. :)
Jules is the Lady of Balance. Her job is to keep the balance between good and evil. It isn't easy because sometimes the lines are very thin. However, Jules has a few good friends and companions to help her. Having had a husband who cheated on her and a father who died and left her everything (A tiki bar in warm, sunny Florida), she discovered that she had magic powers. She also found out she had a half-sister she never knew about.
This book was a bit more complicated in plot than the previous two and the reader can tell that Jules is getting the hang of her her title and just what is needed.
All the characters are well-written and the plot is interesting. The magic is written in a delightful manner, and I truly appreciate that the sex/love scenes are short!!! I'm not sure about the half-sister but I'm hoping that she comes around sooner rather than later. I'm not sure I like the shifter boyfriend but I can't put my finger on why. I don't think he will ever betray Jules but his overprotective behavior borders on full chauvinism. I'm of the generation that marched for women's rights and he's a male alpha wolf who thinks women have to be protected and that Jules needs his protection! It just grates on my nerves a bit and hopefully, Jules will soon put him in his place!

Just getting too weird with too many paranormal characters. I've definitely lost interest in this series. Hiding this review as I really like this author.

Great book
I liked all three books! I'm terrible at giving reviews but when I read that Ms. Maher hung up her motorcycle helmet in Colorado I decided to try to give a decent review. I was in the army in Colorado and rode motorcycles and as a woman I love seeing women on motorcycles!
I'm older and I love reading about older women kicking ass! And this main character sure does! There's fighting and romance, what more could you ask for. Although there's more fighting than romance in this book then the first two but it was still a great book.
I've also read her other series and she is an excellent author!

I have been waiting a long time for this book, and it is totally worth it. Jules is back and has a lot to deal with, but as the Mistress of Balance, its her job.
An old Djinn has Jules in her sights and Jules has a traitor in her mist.
The world building in this story is excellent. I love all the paranormal characters and action.
Can't wait for the next book in the series!

I have just finished the first 3 books in this series and I loved them. I had hoped to read the next book now but sadly it’s not yet available 😟. They are easy to read but do keep you interested. They have all been fast paced and telling myself just one more chapter didn’t work. I would love to say what I hope for in book 4 but I don’t like spoilers. If you like midlife paranormal books you will love this one. Happy reading.

This, the third book in this series, sees our heroine growing stronger but still being unable to take a breath to consolidate all that she has learnt. She also seems to have forgotten a very important part of Meri’s vision. I’m sure that this means that the next book will see her in another battle to the death. By the way, I really don’t think that it’s fair for her not to have gained some of her youth back - not that 50 is that old anymore.

Jaw-Dropping!
This 3rd installment of the series had me hanging on by the seat of my pants! So many twists and turns on the 'who-dun-it' suspects, I didn't know what to do. Just when I thought I knew who was behind all the evil, I am proved wrong - time & time again!

Worth the wait
Thoroughly enjoyed how the issues with Drake and Lila were resolved. It will be interesting to see where Jules' and Lila's relationship goes in the next book. So glad Tegan decided to continue the series. I can only imagine all the new adventures.

just a magical fantasy adventure
Her previously life that hilariously set up the context for the first book was completely left behind on the second and third… and such a shallow nothing much Deus ex machina story… disappointing. And also a really rushed ending.

I couldn’t wait to finish this one…it took too long to come together, and I found the last part a little too convoluted. Too many parts made it confusing. If Tegan does continue this series, I’m not sure I’ll join in.

Great Story
More forward progress for the new Mistress of Balance. This book had a great storyline, fast pace, and more interesting new characters. I would have really liked getting to know the Djinn better. Maybe in future books, I hope.

too short 😕
I loved this except it was so much condensed into a 3 book series.. it was sometimes a little bit hard to absorb and overwhelming . I feel like another book or more would round out this fab collection.

Best book of the series
Yes, I know the other books were necessary to set everything in motion but this book was action packed with a strong storyline tying a number of threads together. This is definitely one of, if not the best, book that Tegan has written. Highly recommend

Jules is really growing in to her powers. Her team is devoted and growing. This series is interesting thru out each book, with little problems solved while the big problem, Blake, goes on through out every book

Excellent an d imaginative book. I have never read such a really fast moving fun book. This author thought of so many out of the box ideas in this magical story. It goes to show you it is not impossible to bring characters to life in an awesomely wild way. Read it you will love it.!!
