This was super interesting
Potted history of Christianity from the very beginning to now.
Really recommend, learnt a lot about religion and society, how Christianity shaped history, and how all the denominations came about. Somehow in under 200 pages.

Thoroughly interesting book. My only reservation was in the final chapter, which could have said so much more about the diversification of Christianity away from Roman Catholicism and Anglicanism in the 17th - 21st centuries. However, it's only an "Essential History" and therefore can't cover everything.
