When Alison Hart was seven years old, she wrote, illustrated, and self-published a book called The Wild Dog. Since then, she's authored more than sixty books for young readers. A former teacher, she lives in Virginia.
Not as bad as the last few. But that cover! There's so much WTF-ery going on here. Some poor idiot is about to get trampled by a crazed horse in the background while Amber vacantly plays with her hair. My favorite, though, is Brent (who looks like a 40-year-old perv) wearing high waisted beige chinos and a white pocket polo. Ye gods...that is one unattractive-looking dude.
The Charisma books were a lot of fun to read when I was a teenager. They stayed within the age range but still felt like I was reading a true young adult of the time.
