Love a good 80’s perspective on hippie parenting values. Really helpful for living in the real world. Especially love the anti-vax, anti-formula propaganda cleverly entwined within this ‘holistic’ study.
An interesting read, nice to see parenting from a spiritual perspective. I just took from it what resounded with me as I do with all books on parenting. My partner who isnt into this perspective thought it was a bit out there!
Beautiful examination of the spiritual aspects of child-rearing grounded in the teachings of Rudolf Steiner.
The most helpful parts are about early childhood and then it gets into later childhood a bit. There are some helpful practical tips but also general observations on mindset and how to preserve a calm environment to help your little one feel peaceful in the chaotic early years.
The book is not gospel but it was incredibly helpful and soothing while caring for a newborn. The author has decades of experience. I think if you can read a book, focus on the helpful bits and not be bothered that you might disagree with some things, you will enjoy a book like this.
I see the other reviews on here are shallow nastygrams , lacking citations or substance. I didn’t see any references to vaccines in this book at all. I would simply take such reviews for what they are worth.
