I feel like I'm going to talk in flower language for a while.

It always took me a while to decided whether I'd buy illustrated book because it tends to be more pricey than non-illustrated book, but I immediately picked this up for my first book of 2020. The illustration is just eye-catching and mesmerizing, with descriptions of each flower's poem and meaning. This book makes me in love with floriography and now I can't even look at a flower without thinking what's the meaning behind it!

This book has some really lovely illustrations of flowers with poem excerpts which accompany the information given about the flowers. I learned some fun and interesting things, but the formatting of the book is awful along with quite a lot of typos, which was a shame. A lot of information is repeated throughout.

Spre exemplu: vreţi să ştiţi ce plante foloseau vrăjitoarele pentru a se transforma în iepuri? Sau mai frumos, reţeta sau ingredientul principal pentru a deveni invizibil? Sau vreţi să ştiţi cum puteţi trimite un mesaj secret sub forma unei inocente flori? Vreţi să-i cuceriţi inima alesei, într-un mod distinct? Gill Davies şi Gill Saunders au încropit cea mai frumoasă enciclopedie florală pentru a a-ţi veni în ajutor. Limbajul romantic al florilor este răspunsul dorinţelor noastre. Un almanah plin de curiozităţi florale ce ne arată calea spre cunoaşterea amplă a acestor frumuseţi ce cuceresc inimile sexului frumos. Aflăm care flori erau considerate vindecătoare, care otrăvitoare, care comestibile şi care pur şi simplu decorative. Le descoperim ca fiind de multe ori muze ale scriitorilor, emblemă în picturile artiştilor, motiv de superstiţii, dar veşnic cuceritoare şi încântătoare ochiului.
