A mysterious creature has fallen from the sky and landed right at young Yuina's feet Branded as the master of this new angelic being, Yuina is forced into an otherworldly pact, one that will take her beyond the clouds and into battle against a new and yet hauntingly familiar evil, one that patiently waits in the shadows.
This is the first time reading Angel/Dust, and somehow it feels like I've read it in the past... I felt so much nostalgia while reading it.
The story feels like something my 12 year old me would've love to write/read about (I SAY IT AS SOMETHING GOOD!): angels, fantasy, rivarly between friends, the "not-feeling-enough" feeling, FLYING, I mean, this manga has everything and I'm living for it, lol. <3
I love one-shots, and this one was great! Maybe it could had been larger, I feel like the concept was complex enough to make it a series instead of a one-shot. I didn't felt like it was rushed, I mean, it is expected since it is a single manga volume, but it felt organic to me, it made sense due to the circumstances.
However... I didn't gave it a 4 Stars because I didn't understood the ending, haha. ;_;
Super schade 🙁
This manga will always hold a special place in my heart, even though it falls short on a lot of things. My biggest complaint is how short this is- I know there's a "second" book, but it's not a true sequel. And because there's only one volume for this storyline, the plot is incredibly rushed.
But... aside from that? This manga is amazing. The art is gorgeous and unique, the main character experiences important growth, and the overarching plot and exposition/world building are incredible. While this may not be one to keep on your shelf forever, I would definitely suggest people read it at least once!
i don’t really mind if the plot isn’t well written. i love her.
I don’t usually want to save manga on here but I like this manga enough that I bought my own physical copy after having lent it from a friend a year ago… and i read a lot of manga and webtoons.
It’s just my niche, and the art and the concept is so beautiful. That’s all there is to it.
Not bad for a single volume manga. It's not super great or anything, but it has a decent plot, some character growth, and some nice artwork. I think it tries to do a bit too much though, as some parts just felt a little info dumpy. If this was a bit longer, I think it could have been a lot better.
Angel Dust is a one-shot and it’s not very well fleshed out story wise. You feel only like you have a vague gist of what’s happening. But for me personally, the art was so damn gorgeous I don’t even care. This one has a permanent space in my collection for that reason alone.

I purchased this manga back when I was younger, like in high school, and I remember liking it but not fully understanding what was going on in it...But i am now older and have reread it, and wanted to give my quick thoughts. This manga is beautifully illustrated, very stylized of its time period. I love that! The story is good, I think there are a lot of elements that would make this an amazing series, if longer, that could have a lot of depth and deeper meaning...I see so so much potential with the storyline and characters...but this is just a one shot, and it doesn't get the opportunity to do all of that. I like it a lot. I just wish it were longer. And I don't always say that with one shots. The only thing I can really say that I didn't enjoy would be the very very ending with the devil like creatures. I didn't fully understand what they were talking about, and it kind of felt like they were leading to another book.
I'm somewhat ambivalent about this one. The story isn't very original, but the way the old plot ideas come together is a bit original. The angels are not quite aliens, but they are definitely some kind of cyborg. Parents might object to the kiss between two of the girls, but so far I don't think there will be lesbian romance invlolved in the plot. There is no objectionable language and what violence there is is extremely tame.

I really liked the art and the story, but it was too short and everything was jammed together. I would have liked to see a more thought out story line where we could learn about the characters and the story. I think it could have been expanded on.
Strange and confusing, Angel/Dust isn't exactly what it seems to be. The story is difficult to follow and the plot line is severely lacking. There is little character development and even less reason to continue reading.
A story about a young girl going through a difficult time in her life, who meets a being from another time that helps her move on with her life. An interesting story written in the classic manga style, which is always fun to read.
Well, that was interesting? I actually liked the non-sci-fi/fantasy parts more than the plot about the android angels. I enjoyed Yuina's narrative and the art is lovely, but I feel like this would have worked better if the page count was higher. I have to wonder what limitations Aoi Nanase was under and how the story would have fared as a 300+ page volume or even as two volumes; it would have given the story a lot more room for worldbuilding. Apparently there's a sequel, so I might track it down!
