Nasim's debut poetry collection is a relentless attempt to find language for queerness in Urdu. what I find the most stunning is how he is able to incorporate an American ethos and still rely on Urdu thematic elements of love: the aashiq and the mashooq, hijr and visaal. one of my favorite poets ever.
