This is such an emotional book!!! We’re back with our millennium wolves but we’re focused on Gamma Shade and head healer Daisy. Daisy’s parentage is as touchy a subject as Shades life. He doesn’t want a mate…period…but he can’t find it in himself to reject her. When she kills Shades childhood tormentor without knowing who they truly are, she opens a whole can of worms. Shade begins to look at her differently.
When Daisy is kidnapped, Shade does everything to find her. But Daisy’s tormentor has magic to hide them until he’s ready to release her. He has special plans for Daisy and none of them are good. He wants her as damaged as Shade is.
When Daisy appears from out of nowhere, she is taken to Shade’s hometown to heal. They learn to heal each other.

I read this on the Galatea app and love this author and series! Definitely recommend.

There weren’t very many sex scenes per se. There was a rape that occurred in the story but the author did not describe the rape at all. The author was able to convey the pain and emotionless state post-rape that made it very much more painful than any explicit description of rape would be able to convey. And for that I commend the author. The story itself didn’t leave much of an impression but that may have been due to the Galatea platform causing excessively long wait periods to read the book. I seriously doubt that anyone should follow the characters in this book to deal with rape trauma and I hope they would seek professional help instead.

I read this on the GALATEA app. It abruptly ends so i assume it is not finished. This is the fourth book by Sapir that i read in the Millennium Wolves series. They are all very good books. This particular one is about the Alpha of the Millennium's Gamma, Shade and the Head healer, Daisy. Shade is very scarred and it goes beyond physical to more of an emotional/mental level. Daisy tries to heal that emotional scarring but then she herself becomes emotionally scarred and they have to help each other. This books ending was abrupt and i would've liked to have seen what happens to these two characters after they heal each others tortured past.

So she finds her family only to lose them almost immediately? Without any explanations of what she really is?

Sooo, it ends in a cliffhanger?!

Shade has a very dark past, trauma and finds his mate which he never wanted? He’s the gamma of the Millennial Wolf’s.

Daisy is the pack healer and discovers she was the product of a sexual assault attack on her mother! She’s trying to find out about her biological father. Dsisy betrays Rafael and Eve taking their daughter’s special blood to get information from a vampire.

Things do not go well for Daisy or Shade in regards to the mate bond. All this changes when Daisy’s taken by a Deity that knew her father. It somewhat comes together but there are more questions than answers? Is there a HEA for Shade and Daisy? Have they healed from their traumas?

This book is not for the fainthearted. It delves into some serious, sad, and disturbing issues. It has minor editing flaws, but is well written besides the few errors. It does end abruptly without indication of which book is next.

Painted Scars (Millennium Wolves) tackles some very sensitive themes, including sexual assault, so I’d strongly recommend checking the trigger warnings before you start.

The MMC has had a deeply troubled past, which shapes much of the story and his character development.

Definitely not a fan of the format, but still intrigued by the story…it’s just taking forever this way.

I was quite addicted to this book/series… Suspense, drama, lust, all the good stuff that keeps you coming back 😉 Great writing, incredibly impressed, might give the series another try if I can find somewhere else (free😉) This was the book that lured me to GalateaApp (hate the App, like the books..lol)

This was one of the better stories Sapir has written, fully stand behind the potential for so much more here. Very well laid out, and the intensity was well written, although not for the faint of heart. Trigger warnings should definitely be available ahead of time for abuse, rape, and kidnapping but not in a sexy villain way. Maybe they were and I don’t remember, but overall, it could make some feel sick about it all. I dove head first into it trusting the author to round out the experience with character development and it paid off. I want more, Sapir! Well done, I’m hooked. Shade is my Zaddy.
