An intimate collection of poetry about the Northwest, more specifically Spokane and the mountains rivers and lakes. It was edited by one of my college professors. Dr. Schneider was a wonderful person and an excellent teacher. I can hear his voice in my head, teaching us of the wonders of poetry and literature. This is a fine collection of poetry.

This anthology is dauntingly thorough: 58 authors! Most of them write about living with or against the land, about family, and about rural truck stop diners. It wasn't quite right to finish this collection in my southern California hammock, near the roaring interstate.
