I have a love/hate relationship with this beast... always reading it at work trying to figure out what to do about some wacky electrolyte mess... I love thinking about electrolytes, but then I read a whole chapter of this and usually reach the conclusion that I just shouldn't worry about it or no matter how I calculate how to supplement it at the rate I want, it never works... DiBart, I hate you... but I'll keep reading you

I have the older version of this textbook and it is probably one of my most frequently-referred-to books on the shelf at our hospital!

This book has the most remarkable sedative properties of any of my recent reading selections.
