Selections from the Dream Manual is a serendipitous work of art combining text, symbols, collage, and painting. It is intended as something that can be enjoyed for its own sake, but it was produced using magical techniques and can be used for magical purposes. That is to say that the authors used techniques common to many writers, artists, magicians, and mystics. The Dream Manual is the handbook of regulations and procedures for the employees of the Ministry of Dreams, an imaginary bureaucracy overseeing all manufacture, transportation, and commerce in dreams and visions.
