While I'm not comfortable with Singer's anti-globilization and and anti-capitalism, he is dead-on when discussing and parodying the environmental and social destruction wrought by the automobile. This is a book of Singer's clever cartoons interspersed with his text, which details how car culture has devastated our urban and suburban landscape. The book also does a good job of pointing the reader to additional information on this important topic.

A slim volume of cartoons, very short essays, and quotations about the uniquity of cars and its impact on human society. The cartoons are humorous with a bite, and broaden their scope to human beings who deny ecology and our mushrooming climate problem.
