A quick, interesting sci-fi read. The parts in Egypt were more interesting than the city parts, which I think could have been fleshed out more. I really liked the concepts though.

Fairly solid, entertaining novel about a man named John Heron (fortunately not named Richard or Rick, as in the last two novels I read on a similar theme) from a dystopian future, who as part of experiment, transports his mind to the final days of Cleopatra's reign in ancient Egypt, only to find himself returned to a subtly altered and even MORE dystopian future. He returns repeatedly to the past era hoping to reconnect with his own world and another time/dimensional traveler, Stella Cranach, with whom he has developed an intense (if rather overnight) relationship.
