Well explained clear, and descriptive well structured with great topics that lead onto one another. I learnt a lot from this book. I think it could have gone into more detail slightly and talked more about other topics i.e. male vs female pro's and con's of both genders. I don't have a lot of rat books to compare this book to so i don't know how good it is in comparison. I finished reading this book within a few hours of receiving this book as a gift. I would say my actual rating is a 3.5 but it is very informative to a person such as me who had next to no knowledge of rats and caring for them, and their origins and different species and coats etc It's worth while definitely if you have a limited knowledge of rats.
