I’d always heard The Mask comics were really hardcore compared to the film so you can imagine my surprise when I started reading at it was just like the film. Only to then realise I was reading a collection of comics based off of The Mask Animated Show which was itself inspired by The Mask film from 1994.
After I realised I was reading a comic inspired by a show, inspired by a film, inspired by a different comic I had a great time. It’s so dynamic in its art style and genuinely made me laugh multiple times. I’ve never seen the animated show it’s based on but reading it felt like a Saturday morning as a kid.
Also had puzzles to do in between comic issues which was also quite a nice bonus.
