This name of this book is Task force: Recon team angel 2 by Brian Falkner and the setting of the book is earth in 2032 where aliens are trying to taking over earth while humans are fighting back for their planet and the main story is about a recon team of teens fighting against aliens and doing missions to save humanity. How I found the book was me looking for a book with a unique story and humans not fighting each other but fighting for each other like a zombie apocalypse or alien invasion.
This book is about aliens invading earth and are located in Australia and Russia and other locations on earth. The humans are in the United states and are trying to fight back the aliens before they send their armies to America. So one of the commanders wanted to make a new plan which was to attack the aliens' bases and destroy the power plant that powers their weapons and vehicles. So the Angel team is in a submarine heading towards Australia and other locations to try and stop the alien invasion. The main characters in this book are Angel team, demon team and the aliens which are better known as Bzadians. They leave the submarine eventually and go on the big ship where all the commanders are and big plans happen. How the book ends is that the humans don't get rid of the aliens by failing the plan of taking down their headquarters and causing a flood on themselves. Angel and demon team were shut down after that and didn't serve another mission.
How I thought of the ending was a bit disappointing and sad because it wasn't a happy ending. It was a sad one by them not being able to fight the aliens off their planet and one of the angel team members died in the last fight against the aliens. I had no favorite part of the ending, But my i do have a favorite quote from the book which is “That’s no basis to call him a traitor” pg 59. That means no matter what they did you shouldn't call your own people names.
My thoughts on the book are that it has a good story and plot to it but the scenario the world was in is confusing to me. Some things didn't make sense to me but the main characters' missions did, I wish they would say more about the backstory or start before the alien invasion happened in the book. The book reminds me of the American Chiller series and a war novel because of the end of the world type of scenarios and the characters' jobs remind me of the army or war. People that like apocalypse movies or end of the world disasters would enjoy the book.

Another good read for one who is interested in science fiction, much better than the first book in my opinion. Though I did find it short, is was sweet, and left me with a desire for more, but not too much. More mystery in this book, since there is another traitor on the human side of things, but no one knows who. Im pretty sure theres less action in this one, but the end, oh the end. Its probably one of the biggest cliff hanger Ive ever really recognized in a book. I really want to read the third book now.

The book that I chose to read is Task Force by Brian Falkner. Brian Falkner is skilled at writing sci fi. All of the sci fi books that I have read by him have all been amazing. His writing quality is excellent. His writing captivates you to keep reading. His plot lines are very logical, and flow very well. The different storylines slot together in the most delightful ways.
There are multiple protagonists in this book. They are all very well developed. They all have their own unique personalities that makes them all enjoyable. Some have very violent and crazy tendencies. Others are calm and thoughtful. All of their different personalities work together very well. I would love to know the protagonists in this book. I would especially love to know Monster.

The book “Task Force” by Brian Falkner is a sci-fi novel set in the late 2020’s. It is the second book out of three in the Recon Team Angel series. The main character is named Ryan Chisnall, a teenage soldier who has his human features changed to those of the Bzadians, aliens that have invaded Earth.
The aliens are preparing for an invasion of the Americas, the last remaining holdouts of humanity. Ryan and his team are sent to support a mission to attack a fuel factory in the Bzadian’s capital continent, Australia. This attack could halt the Bzadian invasion, giving Humanity an extra year to prepare. The theme of this story is man vs aliens, because Ryan and his team are in the heart of enemy territory, fighting to give humanity a chance to survive.
The quote “A matter of seconds that would determine if she lived or died, right here, right now.” explains the risks Recon Team Angel had to take in order to save humanity. If they were caught, they would be interrogated and executed by the Bzadian secret police. They risked their lives, their species, and most importantly their friends.
I would recommend this book for anybody who enjoys to play video games such as Halo or Call of Duty. It is an easy read, and is more adult than other books in the same genre. Overall, this book is a great read and is easily worthwhile to try.

Attention may have some probably spoiler alert. I picked this book because I read the first one and I saw this was part two. It takes place in Australia which is now New Bzadia. The war between the humans and the Bzadian's are getting closer to the end the humans. So to buy another year the humans try to destroy there source of energy. That's how the book starts. Chisnall is still dynamic just not as much as the first book. He is more out-going, tough, fearless, and a little bit hard headed. "Monster was exploring Chisnall's chest when he took his hands away they were bright red with blood"(Falkner 143). I think the theme was to never give up even against the odds, mostly because they were on a suicide mission. I like how the had to shoot fake bullets, I have shot fake bullets."The Angels' sidearms also were loaded with puffers"(Falkner 71). They also blow stuff up which I have done. "They were all issued with packs of high explosive"(Falkner 212). The last thing that is a connection is contests I have had contests with my brother and he says nearly the same thing.(It's not contest, Varmint, and..."(Falkner 111). I liked the book a lot. But I wouldn't recommend it unless my friends read the first one otherwise you don't get the same impression of the book

Ugh. Okay I'm kind of annoyed because I'd written like three paragraphs for this review and then my computer took a poop and shut down the internet on me and because I'm dumb and don't save it in word while I type I wasn't able to revive it.
Basically though I can tell you what the idea was of my original review: this was awesome. It's the second in a series, but it's great as a stand alone, which was perfect for me since I haven't read the first book. It was fast paced and was written in such a way that made it easy to understand from the get-go, which is always a bit difficult for me in the beginning with sci-fi books because the diction is different and the technology is different. The only thing that held me up at first while reading this was the names; since it was last names only it took me a little bit to remember who was male and female, which name belonged to who, and which country that person came from. However it didn't take long and I'm very satisfied with the story overall. The logic was sound (at least insofar as I could tell) and provided an interesting enough story that I would totally like to read the next book in the series. Very well done.

The new characters and settings where absolutely amazing. The turn this story takes, as well as the groundwork it sets for the next to books of the series, are insane and so well done.

I thought that this book was excellent, fast-paced, and action-filled. This book is about a group of teenagers, going behind enemy lines and trying to help the humans that live on Earth take back their planet. They have to succeed in their mission or The Free Territories or the United States, will lose the Ice War and lose the Earth to a race of aliens call Bzadians. This book was really good exhilarating because it had a lot of explosions and military terms that you would have to know so the enemy won't know what it means. I had a lot of fun and moments when I was at the pinnacle while reading this book

Action packed from beginning to end, lots of fighting and killing, and the storyline in unique and interesting. Task Force is another great (sort of YA) action novel by Brian Falkner, that does follow along the line of the Halo Video Game. The kids that make up the Angel Recon Team have funny and weird personalities, their banter is comical and perfect for the age (teenagers).
I give this novel 5 stars because it is exactly as it created and intended, for the YA audience and more, with lots of military and future stuff!

I like this science fiction book, however, there is a lot of jargon that I do not understand. Luckily there is a glossary at the back of the book that defines these terms.
