It was an absolute pleasure to dive into the next book in the Senses series. After The Taste of You we were left with Aro in a tough place mentally. I was ready to see how she would make a come back, and learn more about Harp who seems to have an agenda that matches hers.

He also REALLY wants to spend some time alone with Aro. To the point of convincing her family that he can help her heal if they let him take her to a cabin in the woods to recoup and train.

Well, that's why this is fiction.. because normally when a man wants to drug you and take you to his secret hideaway.. it doesn't end in multiple orgasms and you learning to fight like a bad ass. Haha!

Harp is also a mute hero and he has his own secret pain that makes him uniquely qualified to help Aro find herself again. He also has some very... delightful ways of helping her come back to herself.

This book was brilliant, I tell you. And as with the other books so far, delightful and smutty.

This book also left me with a cruel, cruel cliffhanger for the next book.. My freaking heart can't take it! I can't wait for the next one.

4.5 stars
4 on the spice scale

CW: grief, loss, primal play, breath play and a few others.

I voluntarily read an early copy of this and am leaving a review. Also, the author is my friend but the opinions are all mine.

What a beautifully written book.
Words can’t say how much I enjoyed this, so much more than I thought I would. We go on such a beautiful and personal journey throughout the entire book which was so amazingly written. I think the author did an amazing job of writing both Harp and Aro’s struggles and how they both learn to lean on each other and grow.
This is interconnected however I think the author did a great job of filling us in as a reader if you haven’t read the previous books however I’ll definitely be going back and reading the rest!
Although this is a slower burn the smut was definitely hot when we got it around 55% in so it’s definitely worth the wait
Harp and Aro have my heart!

This book is the third in the series. There
are some part that were confusing since I
don't know what happens in the two
previous book. Nonetheless, I really liked
this book. I love the dynamic between
Harp and Aro.

Aro:
Harp is hunting me, and I am happy to be his prey. When he catches me, I hope he devours me until there is nothing left. want to be consumed by him.
She was in a car accident/murder in which her father was killed and she bears a scar on her face. Due to the survival guilt and constant reminder whenever she sees her scar or whenever others look at her face, she turns to
alcohol.

When she first saw Harp, she knew she should be skeptic of him but that doesn’t stop her from being attracted to him:
“I’ve never acted on anything I felt about
a man before. Everything was always in my head, my imagination better than any reality, I was sure of it.

She is relatable: she loves to read and doesn’t have a social life: I'm boring. I'm books. I don't have a life, I don't have friends, I've never had a boyfriend. I've never even had sex! Ugh!"

Harp.
I was in a prison of trauma's making and she's freeing me.
He saw her at her father's funeral.
The moment he saw her, he realized that
he wanted to help her; get through the
grief and come stronger:
The first time I saw her I knew she was special. I knew that I was meant to help her. It never occurred to me she'd help me too.
We are going to kill Shadow, the last remnant of Nathaniel, and I'm going to let her go and be the person she was always meant to be before my brother got in her way.

Harp plans to help her recover until he finds where the murder is. aka his own brother.
What he didn't expected is for Aro to return his feelings and actually makes small approach. The more bold she got the more he couldn't resist. The moment he got a taste of her, he was a goner.
I love his character. I like how he can comprehend and respect Aro and does not pressure her to be around him and to profess her depression to him like some, other book
male. He is patient. But that doesn’t stop himself for being extremely overwhelmed by her close proximity:
I want to touch her, hold her, and fuck her until nothing and no one in the universe exists for her except me. I want to be the center of not just her attention, but her entire goddamn world.
Because she's become the center of mine.
Aro is the reason for everything. Every breath I bother to take is because she's in the world. I've never met anyone who brought so much brightness to others simply by existing. From the way she sits and smiles even when there's no obvious reason to smile.”

As a mute himself, he knows what it's like to have a scar and how the society looks it and judge. (A scar
given by her own brother as well.)
And he got dimples. He only smiles when he is with her.
He reads her fav romance books and he challenges her to reenact it: what was turning you on? What did you like?

It takes a lot of work to heal from one's past. He learns just how worth it it all it.
-
The spice was good; the exhibition/voyeurism scene; the chase; the mirror🔥
-
The only reason I removed .5 star is her family drama. In a way I understand why they are scared to lose her… but in my opinion it felt like they were gonna shelter her.
And I wished we got a HEA pov of both of them, cuz now the epilogue is the other sister.

The plot was a little poor, spelling mistakes in here and all round not easy going. A virgin who turns into what seems to be pornstar attitude? Come on now….

Okay so I just finished reading this and I actually cried that it ended😭🤦🏻‍♀️. This series has been amazing and I can’t wait for the next book to be released. I knew that harp and Aro would be my favourites. Their relationship just outshines everyone. It’s totally swoon worthy. This book does touch on some sensitive subjects so if you do decide to read it please check trigger and content warning but trust me when I say it’s worth it. They’re adorable and even with everything they’re struggling with they seem to come out on top.

This book is the third in the series and it follows Aro as she struggles with her alcohol addictions due to grief. Everyone expects her to be a person she just no longer is, so to help she drinks. But then Harp turns up and forces her to become who he knows she truly is. He pushes her to her limits and lifts her up. His only goal is to help her move pass her grief and knowledge that her life will never be the same again. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. Through all this Aro realises how strong she truly is and that she’s not just some weak, quiet girl that sits in the corner and lets life pass her by. She strong, confident and a total badass. She can do anything, it’s just getting her to believe it like Harp does. But after being isolated with him for so long tension builds and eventual snaps. Aro can’t resist the pull or attraction she feels towards him anymore. But what happens when life keeps getting in the way? When people try to keep them apart? Will they finally give in and let each other go? Or will they fight to keep each other?

Then there’s Harp. He’s mute due to an injury he sustained while someone tried to take his life. He’s been completely isolated and alone since. Most of his life he’s felt truly alone. Not that he’s ever minded the isolation. But one look at Aro and it feels like everything falls in to place. With just a look he can communicate all his thoughts and Aro just gets him. He’s never felt so whole and understood in his life. His obsession only grows for her the longer they spend time together. After finally getting to have Aro in the way he’s always wanted life gets in the way and pulls them apart. He’s heartbroken but knows he would do anything for her. Including leaving. But will that really help? Or just make things worse? And can he salvage what they have with everything falling apart around them?

This book just keeps getting more and more suspenseful the more I read. Just as I think I know how things are gonna go something happens and i am screaming at my kindle😂. You really get a feel for how the whole family operates and works together within this book. How their relationships change and affect them. For the men it’s like finding their own family but for the women it’s like finally understanding each other and filling in their missing pieces. This series has been incredible and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Please please read and if you do let me know what you think.

Goddess help me, I’m just really enjoying these books. The Senses was a BookTok recommendation promising strong FMCs. This book follows Aurora (Aro), the stereotypical “dreamer” sister who always has her head in a book.

I really expected to hate her - “Oh, you’re the sweet, ‘quirky’ girl who reads all the time and finds a big strong man who finds you irresistible?” Barf.

But the author manages to infuse the characters with empathy and vulnerability without ever making them insufferable. Showing growth without being unrealistic. While she’s still the “softest” sister, she and Harp are equally matched their dynamic is so genuine it melts your heart.

Is it still tropey? Sure. But you’re reading romance, so like, you know what you signed up for. The plot is nothing that will shock and awe you, but I was never bored.

The tension in this book is delicious. The chemistry is off the charts, but the spice doesn’t detract from the plot - something a lot of novels get wrong.

so definitely enjoyed it but it’s not something that I would read again hence the lack of five stars like my other reviews

I read this as a stand-alone and judging from the scenes on other two couples which are what the first two books are about, I think I might enjoy them more

The cabin in the woods setting is something that I love and when they had left the cabin, it was difficult for me to keep reading with the same content as before

All in all, lovely romance but it didn’t have anything special or any scenes that caught my heart out

I received an ARC of this book and when I tell you I am still reeling from the ending!! The beginning immerses you very quickly (big kudos for having a quick recap moment) and picks up right after book 2, so definitely make sure you read that first. This is definitely one my favorite couple so far. The healing journey they go on together really hit me in the feels. Of course cannot forget the spice, it was excellent spice! Cannot wait to see how the story continues for the Sorrelles!

I actually enjoyed this. Mute assassin is such a niche trope but I love reading it. It was more on the darker side which I didn’t expect, nonetheless still was a good read

This book was so good, I loved how in each book the Sorelle family had a problem and one by one each daughter was able to find someone that could help but also someone who became their person. Thus making the Sorelle family grow bigger over time.
Aro and Harp both have difficult past, Harp is such an angel for helping Aro through her difficult phase, he knew what it was like and decided he couldn’t let anyone especially someone like Aro go through what he went through alone. Aro and Harp are so similar and that’s make them work but not only that but their differences. Their differences make them perfect for each other as they complement each other so well.
This book had lots of twist, turns and random plot changes which I’m grateful for as they have kept me entertained and intrigued to read the next book within the series. Their story is so beautiful, and I’m glad that they have each other they have both helped each other so much, even though Harp set out the help Aro, Aro in returned helped to heal Harp without even knowing it.
Something that used to define them, they have now taken it and changed the narrative, they are no longer defined by a quality they chose how the quality is portrayed and I believe that it quite amazing. Aro and Harp understand each other better than any other couple within this series in my opinion, and even though their communication is different to the other couples within the series their communication is the strongest.

This is my third favourite book out of the senses series💚.

Oh my lord, I really enjoyed this book

To preface I haven’t read the rest of the series, so I’d like a bit of background knowledge which is part of the reason I think I gave it four stars. I couldn’t fully involve myself in the plot because I have basically no idea what had happened because I hadn’t read the previous books. That was a perfectly adequate summary at the beginning, which I really appreciated from the offer . I just I hadn’t read it, so it didn’t resonate with me enough.

I love the characters I love the way the author portrayed both of the struggles and the resolutions. It truly was well written well developed well research and heartfelt. It was not something just thrown in to be a plot .0 to be brushed past it had meaning of being there, and it was handled with beautifully written, beautifully beautifu.

I, this was a slow burn. You don’t get to the sexy times until I think more than halfway so there were moments I was slightly frustrating although I suppose that the entire point of slow Burn, but when we got there, it was more than adequate and extremely well written.

I would read read this book again. I’m not sure I would read the plot points unless I bring myself to read the first box. There is no reason I haven’t. This is the one I just heard of thirst and I had no reason of starting a series of them, maybe I should

4.4⭐️s. OKAY.. I surprisingly really enjoyed this!! I did not think I’d enjoy an assassin romance?? Who knew.
I absolutely loved the connection between the FMC and the MMC. The way they communicated was presh. Was it realistic? I have no fucking clue.
I’m ngl, after watching Lady Chatterly’s Lover this weekend.. these forest scenes were vivid🥵 (11/10 recommend btw)
I ate this shit up. But the cliff hanger.. Babes.. I NEED ANSWERS NOW.

(SPOILER: Did I fully understand why he had to leave her? No, but it’s fiction so I don’t think it matters lmao.)

So this might just be my favorite book in the series so far! There was just something really healing about it for me and I felt like I could really connect with both Aro and Harp. Excellent writing to make me this emotionally invested!! I’m a little mad about the cliffhanger because I need more like right now, but I know in my gut that there’s greatness coming our way!!

Harp and Aro
Stop it rn. I actually can’t take how cute they are. It’s a darker book but they’re love is so powerful. The way he respects all of her choices and always wants her to put herself first is astonishing. He’s the perfect man and I’m so flipping jealous.
