Mel Beeby's 10th adventure finds the funkiest angel in heaven on a mission to find Cleopatra and help a slave girl. As she travels to ancient Egypt to help an orphan girl carry a priceless perfume to Queen Cleopatra, she must watch her every step. Her emotions are running wild after a recent angel upgrade, and her inner agent is falling silent as she faces "the Test." It all makes Mel a sitting target for the Powers of Darkness in this brilliant new Agent Angel adventure!
Annie grew up as an only child in the English countryside during the 1950s. Her father was not always around but when he was, he would tell her fantastical stories, often with her as the principal character. Annie missed him and his stories, which led her to the fantasy section at her local library, thus sparking life-long love of fiction.
After undertaking jobs such as waitressing, cleaning and factory work, Annie went on to study at University of Warwick and soon started writing.
Annie lives in Norfolk. She has three children, Anna, Reuben, and Maria (the inspiration for the first “Angels Unlimited” book, “Winging It”) and two grandchildren, Sophie and Isabella.
I can't even say how disappointed i'm. This was the worst book in serie. I thought that after all those missions and training, Mel will be smarter and more perceptive when it comes to evil vibration. No, she was so stupid, naive and clueless. And the fact that she was without Helix, isn't an excuse. I was so excited that i'll read a story about ancient Egypt, instead i've spent the whole book at a ship, reading about two perfume blenders. I hope that there will be some epic fight between Mel and evil forces. There wasn't any. In fact nothing happened. The whole story was so long and boring that i thought that i'll just throw this book away. I was so happy when it was over.
This is the most standalone of the books I've read so far in this series. Also, bless, the mortal characters in this one were great. I think this is the only one in this series that doesn't have evil humans or human-disguised Bad Guys lurking around, which was an interesting change. I'm glad we've established that our heroine still hasn't read the entire handbook-I imagine like half of these plots and sudden occurrences that pop up and startle her and the reader would be solved if she had, but in fairness, it's fully in character.
A great, fun book in the Angels Unlimited series. It's interesting for the readers to see the links between past books at this book, past characters that we've grown attached to, and see the growth in Mel herself. However, this book also works as a standalone. Mel is definitely growing, and I'm glad to see Lola back in action again (always want more Lola in my life!).
dette er bog 10 i serien Agent Engel. I denne bog ender Mel nede i Egypten. i denne bog kommer man ind på at alle har både en lys og en mørk side og at det er op til os selv om hvilken side der skal fylde mest.
When I read this the first time, it was quite a while after I read the first ones. Cause I got all of the collections, but this and the next two aren't in a collection...
I ONLY HAVE ONE LEFT! I have Feeling the Vibes, but I don't have Living the Dream... I NEED IT! I NEED IT NOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While Maia severely pissed me off - Mel is sometimes hard enough to take, let alone dealing also with a dark 'clone' of her - I *loved* the story of Khamsin and Amisi! If there was a book about only them I would read it, they're fascinating characters with such a terrific story. Lovely surprise!
