Pooh and his friends help Rabbit with the fall harvest in his garden. And that's it.
If you like watching people do chores, you're golden. If you have enough of your own chores to worry about, you might pass this by.
(Pooh Project: Phase 2! I've managed to catalog all the shorter Pooh books my family owns (see the list here). While I work through few remaining longer Pooh books we own, I'm missing my daily dose of Pooh, so I'm going to start seeking out some of the Pooh books I don't own – yet – from libraries IRL and online. See the reviews here.)
This is a book I remember really enjoying as a kid and I am glad that I got to share it with my class. Also, it's a great way of teaching them a bit more about fall.
*Read this again for the first day of fall with my new preschoolers. They really enjoyed following along with the story. Great way to talk about fall and the other seasons. Also, they really love Winnie the Pooh so that's also a bonus.
This was a good fall harvest/thanksgiving story. The kids and I enjoyed this story together. This book is a little more difficult I think for early readers, but a good challenge. The sentences are a little longer, but the words seem somewhat easy. There are a few word games at the end of the book which the kids and I thought were fun.
My special needs adult son and I enjoyed this Winnie The Pooh storybook. Rabbit is thankful that his friends have come to help him with his Fall Harvest. Several of his friends are asking him questions like what is a harvest. How do you know if the produce is 'ready' etc. So as Rabbit helps teach is friends young readers-listeners learn as well. Good storybook.
A nice story for an easy reader, involving Winnie the Pooh, and the entire gang harvesting fall fruits and vegetables in Rabbit's garden. The story made my daughter laugh, which makes me consider it a successful children's book.
This was a cute little story. It helps introduce kids to the concept of harvest. The end includes a couple of word games. My six year old really enjoyed this. The kids always loved Winnie the Pooh!
