Should have been titled "How to play popular guitar in 10 basic lessons." Easy lessons would include a variety of guitar chords, all 7 major chords, some 7th and minor chords. Then introduce the 12 bar blues pattern. That would be easy.

Here we are introduced to basic finger picking patterns. Which, in 2023, really are not used in popular music. Lesson 6 is classical finger picking patterns for Auld Lang Syne, not easy or in popular music.

There is plenty to be learned from this book, it's just a bit dated in style. Overall a moderately good, functional book to learn guitar basics.
