Very good biblical view of the beatitudes that breaks them down and applies them to healing for the hearts of Christians. I felt that the explanation of femininity was incomplete, but Tom and Donna did a great job touching on the rest in a lecture series I went to that used this book.
Lots of great stuff on children and the impact mothers and father's have / the mother and father heart of God.

Overall theme of the love of God in true wholeness and how we can experience it in our brokenness.

If the poor (absolutely destitute) in spirit are blessed, I want to find a way to arrive at this state and stay there. While Pure Heart is about all eight beatitudes, the Cole's description of the first is leaving the biggest mark on me. So much so, that this week I have been singing, "May I not graduate from this state of desperation." This book's explanation of poverty of spirit was itself worth the money spent to attain it.

Reading this book is worth the effort. I found new understanding of God's love and new encounter with His heart. He will meet you in your place of pain if you will invite Him in. Be blessed.
