William R. Bright was an American evangelist. In 1951 at the University of California, Los Angeles, he founded Campus Crusade for Christ as a ministry for university students. In 1952 he wrote The Four Spiritual Laws. In 1979 he produced the film Jesus. In 1996 Bill Bright was awarded the $1.1 million Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion, and donated the money to promote the spiritual benefits of fasting and prayer. In 2001 he stepped down as leader of the organization and Steve Douglass became president.
Bill Bright helps us to understand our God better by sharing it into 3 parts. Firstly, God as our great creator. In this part, he clearly defines the attributes of His ability. Secondly, he shares with us how our God is a perfect Judge by sharing the attributes of his integrity. Lastly, most importantly, God as our gracious Savior where Bill explains our relationship with God.
This is a good book to read as part of your daily quiet time, where each chapter ends with a page on life application for us to reflect on the contents and the word of God. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about God at whatever stage of your life you are in now.
A great and needed book on God and his character. Bill Bright's love for the Lord, and learning more of Him, shines through clearly and brilliantly. An excellent book that will challenge your thought and bring you closer to God.
Not my typical read, but I’m glad I picked it up. Bill Bright writes an easy to read and understand description of the indescribable Creator. Although words can never adequately capture the infinite qualities of God, Bill Bright does assist believers in knowing the Lord better. This book is worth the time and effort.
