Having finally completed a thorough reading of a highly controversial, yet immensely popular book, I feel that I find myself in a position to offer a small critique. While the book manages to raise numerous research topics for further study, I have observed that approximately 60% to 70% of its content is filled with empty propaganda. The text frequently presents the Bible in a flawless light, while presenting the Qur'an as a composition full of logical inconsistencies and suffering from mediocre literary quality. As someone with limited knowledge in this field, I cannot conclusively verify these claims. However, I find it imperative to emphasise that any falsification must be based on scientific grounds rather than comparative analysis with another religious scripture. And if your aim is nothing more than to point out the differences between the two scriptures, then that is fine too. However, the approach in the book significantly undermines the credibility of the argument and leads to an unnecessary bias. This dominant approach in the book gave me the impression that I was in dialogue with an ardent defender of Christianity whose objectivity is compromised by blind adherence to a particular faith. The discourse therefore lacked the dispassionate analysis of the constituent elements of Islam that one would expect from a scientific investigation. Therefore, for the sake of intellectual rigour and fairness, such comparative religious studies need to adopt an objective stance, avoiding excessive favouritism or bias of one faith over another.
Comprehensive and brilliant -a book that everyone needs to read on the subject of Islam. From its history to who Muhammad was, what they believe, evidences that prove the Koran to have many mistakes in it, and what is actually going on - this is the best read.
Not only is it comprehensive but its is the most ACCURATE on the subject. And considering the times we live in it is VIRAL for people to be correctly informed.
I believe that the dates for my reading are roughly correct but it was a long time ago that I first read it. It is a great resource book and one that you need to keep rather than just read once.
I bought this book for $2.00 used. Got my money's worth.
This isn't really about an Islamic Invasion. That was probably just a ploy to scare up some sales back in 1992... who would have thunk that just a few years later we'd have the World Trade Center attacks to help Islamophobia - THAT, and endless Islamic violence on the news daily.
But don't be afraid of Islam, it's best to just mock it for the stupidity it propagates in the name of superstition, culture and stolen religion. This book shows you what that is specifically: from the cult of the moon god to all of the contents of the heavenly quran being pre-arabic culture (which proves that it isn't heavenly). I learned an interesting thing: Muslims state that their Allah word is simply the Arabic general name for god. But this isn't so - try applying this claim to other religions... those Muslims might get a little upset and offended. For starters you can throw out "Oh MY Allah!?" see what happens. Remind them that its supposed to be generic.
This book is scholarly and to the point, it even lists Muhammad's 16 wives, and a bunch more who were sexual concubines. A Jesus HE CERTAINLY WASN'T - Muhammad was a player like all religious Guru's who start false belief systems (all about the Ladies and the Bling). WE also learn about Muhammad's numerous raids for loot and power. And his constantly changing rules from god (depending on what mood he was in). Then there's the Heavenly HOURIS sexual concubines that all good Muslim men get in eternal paradise. (Islamic women don't even get Brad Pitt...just a spot in their husbands libido line-up) This always puts an end to ANY boasting and Islamic self-righteousness (or holiness) I come across. As does allah's brutal personal tortures in hell. Women's rights are a comical issue in Islam...those poor women who attempt to defend it. (Like a baby defending abortion) There are no secrets in Islam - even Islamic scholars debate the embarrassing histories and doctrines of this 7th century cult. But again, the funny bits are watching them flip around to the defense position when promoting their faith.
Funny quote by Scottish scholar Thomas Carlyle: The Quran "It is a toilsome reading as I ever undertook, a wearisome, confused jumble, crude, incondite, Nothing but a sense of duty could carry any European through the Koran."
I've read it all - I have to agree.
like any person who has experienced muslims: They will throw everything AND the kitchen sink at you to desperately thrust forth Islam as truth. They will even lie knowingly to convince you of their truth (it's sadly FUNNY to observe). And as this book shows, they will endlessly talk in circles to prove that the Quran is a non-disputed miracle, because nobody could produce a book like it - or would want to. They will attempt to turn poetry into science, and violent verses will be twisted to comically promote Loving Peace. Thankfully we aren't that gullible - ARE WE? ARE YOU?
But Muslims are often wonderful loving people trapped in an oppressive evil worldview. Hate the religion BUT NOT THE PEOPLE. They are our mission field.
There was a weird final chapter to this book: The Black Muslim Movement In America. A prophet named Elijah Muhammad began tickling the ears of Blacks in America. This movement was even associated with the Watchtower Organization of the Jehovah's Witnesses. It then branches into Space Ships and Aliens... so you just KNOW it's legit. Sadly, Malcolm X was a part of this foolishness. Malcolm came to some of his senses - spoke some truth: and now he's dead. It's a crazy world indeed, I'd rather deal with attacking spaceships than an Islamic Invasion.
Our Pastor suggested we read this book, before 2001. He warned us of this cult religion & it's spread by violence & ignorance. I never had the time to read the book, though I purchased it, until 9/11. At that point I purposed in my heart to read every news article, book & teaching on what this religion believes. They purport the mantra that they are a 'peaceful & loving religion' while NOTHING in their Koran, in their history, in their interaction with infidels or other Muslims is any way a form of their claim. Wise up America! It's already too late for Europe & Indonesia, the MidEast...anywhere this cancer begins to grow.
Islam is anything but the innocent by standard. The problem is not that people on the "out side" don't understand it's beliefs, it's people on the inside are in denial.
Read for personal research - found this book's contents helpful and inspiring. A good book for the researcher and enthusiast. - number rating relates to the book's contribution to my needs.
