The Sex Diet
Dietitian Samantha McCafferty has come up with a miraculous discovery--a diet that inspires lust! Still, as a professional, she really needs to try it herself, and her upcoming trip back home is the perfect time. The diet works--once on the plan, Sam is fighting guys off with a stick! She even has sexy Hank Masterson, her lifelong crush, right where she wants him--in her bed. But for how long?
Hank can't believe the change in his childhood friend Samantha. Suddenly she's hot, really hot! And if she's looking for a good time, he's more than willing to give it to her--again and again. The more he has her, the more he craves her. It's a hunger that can't be satisfied....
Only, Sam isn't fooling herself into believing in "happily-ever-after." It's just the diet. And everyone knows neither crushes nor diets are meant to last....

This was an enjoyable, escapist, friends (from childhood) to lovers steamy romance. The diet giving the book it's catchy name was a bit far-fetched. Eating seafood in large quantities when you have an allergy is never a good idea and as a dietitian Samantha would know that. Anyway the main characters were well fleshed out (pun intended), secondary characters not relevant and it ended with a HEA. All neatly tided up in the epilogue.

As comical as this story was, there's absolutely no way anybody will risk their health to land the woman/man of their dreams.

The plot fell flat for me. Luckily, this was a fast read so it didn't take long to finish.

Borrowed from Bailey on the beach in Nantasket, and pretty terrible. The sex diet: theoretically sounds enticing... except that it's a diet that is supposed to make you attractive to the opposite sex, not one that makes you want to have sex (way to take advantage of two huge female insecurities). It just ends up framing the typical "but I've had to hide my lifelong love for you, and now all of a sudden we're in bed together!" plot. Meh.

Fun way to spend a couple of hours. I liked both of the main characters though the constant "I don't want to ruin our friendship, but I can't control myself" got on my nerves.
