Clinical Examination CD-Rom

Rate this book
This interactive CD brings to life the experience of history taking and patient examination through video, audio, and interactive case studies. The electronic format enlivens the underlying science by turning the structure and function illustrations into animation. For instance, the video shows real-life examples of exam technique, such as organ palpation, examination of the lymph nodes, and inspection of hand muscles for carpal tunnel syndrome. The audio illustrates the examination of the respiratory system, such as heart sounds. Animations bring life to static illustrations in the book, such as blood flow direction in abdominal vein walls. With simple navigation and exquisite visuals, this CD encourages exploration and incorporates self-testing.

Recreates real-life experience of history taking and patient examination by including video, audio, and interactive case studies. Index function enables user to view keyboard by letter of the alphabet. Search function enables user to type in and locate words and phrases. Path function enables user to retrace steps. lots of visually stimulating content by way of the excellent collection of clinical photographs but otherwise lacking. the one thing i liked about it most was the beginning where the authors detail out problem oriented medical record taking.
