I enjoyed reading this book, of an era that some of us weren't even born to experience sadly. An Engine supplier to Boat Racers, Indy Racers,MidgetCar racers, and What we know now as Sprintcar racers among other applications not to mention my favorite part of the book, a brief section on Sportscar covering Briggs Cunningham C6R car and briefly on The Scarab F1 car that both failed, the author is sympathetic to offy power and excuses this for reasons such as the bad gasoline but they just were not good in these vehicles. I did not appreciate the author's snide remarks and biases towards WallSt and the haves and have-nots among other little ideological nuggets I could tell he is a former reporter, Regardless this book is A Treasure-trove of information and pictures, an color gallery and a look The Offy, The Offenhauser of Miller ,Fred Offenhauser ,Drake and D G S. I recommend it.
