Breathing, Movement, Exploration is a useful blueprint for how to use your body on stage. It speaks to professionals as well as anyone fascinated by the inner-process of an actor's training or to gain cognitive and physical insight into one's own self.
I only skimmed this book when I was supposed to read it in college, I tell you shamefacedly. Now that I have read it in full, I am so, SO impressed with the work. Lots of fantastic exercises you could totally do on your own or share with a class, and a very clear, succinct summary of Laban's effort-actions. VERY good stuff for actors, or artists of any stripe, really.
