I'm not sure what I think about this book. I enjoyed the historical setting, and I learned several new words. I think the author gives too much information through telling rather than through the actions of the characters. I think that I will read another of the series, but go back to the beginning. This book was much later in the series.

Sent to recover the King’s stolen wealth Hugh Corbett finds himself faced with multiple murders seemingly stemming from the battle of Acre 13 years ago. Convoluted plot with plenty of tension. Lots of violence.
