Zoli's Legacy: Based on the Life of Zoltan Gaal, Book 2: Bequest

"Is it always so?" I asked.

"Yes," said Greta. "They run wild like pigs."

From the window I could see the boys playing soccer again, and some of the smaller ones wrestling on the sidelines.

"You are young," said Kis néni.

"That may come in handy," I said.

Zoltán Galambos takes over an orphanage of thirty boys, and for a time he works to gain control of the wild group and to meet their needs. But Europe is on the brink of World War II, and Hungary is inevitably drawn into the conflict. Zoli, already a husband and father, becomes a soldier and the sole strength of many people. Even after the war is over and Hungary is occupied by the Russians, Zoli must consider his loved ones and make some life-changing decisions.

Part 2 of a two-part series. Gives the rest of the story of the life of Zoltan Gaal. We in the West know so little of real hardships. Or of persecution. Here were people who lived what they believed, and endured trials with trust in God. A blessing to read, and then to see the photos of the real Zoltan Gaal and others in the story.
