On April 28, 1944 six weeks before D-Day more than 700 American Service men stationed in England were killed in a rehearsal in the English Channel. A Convey T-4 was attacked by German E-Boats losing hundreds of lives. The incident was under the strictest secrecy at this time due to the inmpending D-DAY invasion. As the World War II proceeded the event was almost forgotten. In this laborious work Nigel Lewis uncovers the terrifying secrets of mistakes and lack of cooperaton between military forces that led to the disaster. The book is little dull through dry writing but it is a must read for those that are looking for something out of the ordinary of World War II major themes.
