Review of Patron Saints for Postmoderns

With the 10 bios including the popular and otherwise, I was thrilled to start this book from Barry. I was not disappointed! Starting with Armstrong’s introduction saying "…no matter how many flaws and faults you saw in yourself, you too could be changed by grace and used in _ ways in the kingdom. What a relief!” That was a good start to get going on this book.

I loved so many details I didn’t know about the famous folks in some chapters and those I never heard of in other chapters. For me more details the better. And then I was introduced to the unknown ones. Wow! Each person was so different and yet were really in love with Jesus! I especially liked that!

We all have a sense of restlessness deep inside us. St Augustine was not one of the bios in this book but I just want to end this review with one of his famous quotes, ”Because God has made us for Himself, our hearts are restless until they rest in Him”. To me I perceive that all of humanity are different and unique and loved.
