Its a quick read, but the arguments are profound. It is interesting to note, that had the 1917 Code been in place, the modernist in the Church may have had more of an argument to say that Abp. Lefebvre did something wrong. But seeing that the 1983 Code is in place at the time of the Consecrations, a Code meant to embody the Vatican II, whose essence was more inclusive and tolerant, it would seem that neither he nor those who agree with him and attend Society Chapels have done nothing wrong. The degree to which the 1917 Code response was imposed on him, meanwhile heterodox prelates (even at the time of this book was written) were given 1983 treatment and even in a twisted way. This book stands in bold relief and its arguments are enhanced all the more by virtue of the events that have transpired since the Pontificates of BXVI and Francis I.
