I've checked this out from the library several times over the years and finally just bought it. If you sew or mend your own clothing, this book could save your sanity, not to mention your project. The clothing care tips in the appendix were helpful too (which type of stain remover to use with which fabric/stain, etc.)
While this book is written to help people with their sewing problems, there is a lot of helpful information for anyone who wears clothing including how to repair or fix fitting problems. Four indexes at the back cover a basic sewing repair kit, how to determine fibre content, sewing machine troubleshooting and stain removal.
