The AIDS Information Centre (AIC) was established in February 1990 to provide anonymous, voluntary and confidential HIV testing and counselling services to the people of Uganda. The Centre operates with the understanding that knowledge of ones own HIV infection status is an important intervention in controlling HIV infection.
