USA Today bestselling author Jennifer L. Hart writes about characters that cuss, get naked, and often make poor but hilarious life choices. A native New Yorker, Jenn now lives in the mountains of North Carolina with her imaginary friends. Her works to date include the Cougars and Cauldrons series, the Silver Sisters series and the upcoming Legcay Witches of Shadow Cove.
I will admit I wasn’t sure what was happening when things got seriously dark, it didn’t feel like a Silver Sisters book for a bit there, but it turned back around and finished with a bang that was awesome, in all good ways.
I loved this book, In fact I have the whole series. There is just something magical about them, this might not be my normal genre (of cozy mysteries) but with so much heart and adventure they are just so compelling and a must listen. I love the way the characters are so tough and yet vulnerable at the same time, as each of the three sisters have there own struggles or worries and yet together they can over come anything. It makes the characters more likeable as they struggle with the same things the readers might be going through (well okay it's not normal to take on rouge FBI agents or use magic but you know what I mean) and you can connect with them. They are just a great group of characters that I like spending time with on there adventures. This book continues on from the last so I would recommend you read (or listen) to the previous book, actually to the whole series. Like the previous books the story is told by all three of the sisters and each chapter follows one, giving you there unique perspective. I know this is the last book in the series but I am crossing my fingers that there might be more. With Alys still having lost her eye sight after a magic spell backfires on her, the last thing she wants to do is get married to the alpha male of the local werewolf pack. Her sisters are taking over the running of the magic school and organizing her dream wedding and control freak Alys is letting them but what if there was a way to get her vision back? It means trusting someone who has let them down before and for Alys it's worth the risk. Even if she has to go it alone because Alys struggles with asking for help even from the people who love her the most. But she is stronger with her sisters and going alone could cost her dearly. I like the narrator and she has been a good choice throughout the series. Bringing entertaining and unique voices to the table and casting her own spell to keep you hooked. I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Oh my - I am so saddened this is the last of this series yet, wow what an ending! This is very difficult to review without sharing some amazing surprises so this is a somewhat futile attempt. First, please start this series from the beginning as there are so many wonderful characters, character growth and amazing action that can't be ignored. While the primary subject in this story is Alys, the eldest sister, what comes into their lives is....well, just wow. A long lost relative appears claiming to provide some alternative solution for Alys to regain her vision and what transpires is....just surprising. Sibby, and Maeve, want so badly to give Alys her dream wedding to Brock at Christmas and what transpires may conflict with the wedding. I also love the fact that the author includes a bit of another series (Cougars and Cauldrons) with Samantha Sinclair offering her amazing talents. The sisters and their loved ones (living and ghostly) work as one to save Alys proving they will always be a formidable team together.
This story is a slightly different vibe from the previous and does offer some closure for some of the activity however, there are some new characters that I am so hoping to see a new addition to the series or perhaps a new series altogether. Thank you, Jennifer L Hart, for giving us such wonderful stories to visualize.
The final Silver Sisters book This was the conclusion of an excellent series and what an ending it was. This story is centred around Alys and her upcoming wedding to Brock. Alys has a lot to deal with after coming back from the girls latest adventures and is not coping at all. From overcoming and learning to live with the situation she finds herself in, putting her trust in the wrong person and not leaning on the ones who love her she places herself in a terrible situation. Will those that love her be able to unravel what has happened and get to her in time? Will Alys and Brock get their happily ever after? An emotional story with both happy and sad moments and an ending I never saw coming. I was entranced. From the amazing characters and storylines by Jennifer, to the stunning covers and the incredible narration by Jacqueline Rendell these books are a pleasure to both read and listen to.
They say that all good things must come to an end. That is definitely the case with Jennifer L Hart's magically heartwarming Witch Way Ever After. WWEA is the final book in the Silver Sister's series and I thought it would be a more mild ending that would wrap up all the loose ends from the previous six books. Boy was I wrong. The Silver sisters' finale goes out with a bang when Alys decides to put her faith in the wrong person. One last time the sisters and their loved ones (living and ghostly) work as one to save Alys proving they will always be stronger and better together. As with the earlier novels love and family conquers all. Ms. Hart has given us a wonderful story with these books and I have enjoyed the narration provided by Jacqueline Rendell. Together they make a great team and I look forward to their future collaborations. Wonderful job ladies!
Audiobook: I enjoyed book seven of the "Silver Sisters" series. Siobhan, Maeve, and Alys Silver were looking for a cure for Alys. Their father contacted Alys and claimed that he had a cure. The sisters were skeptical about their father's claim. This last book wrapped up the series well, but it was with some sadness for me, knowing that there won't be any more stories featuring the sisters and their mates. This last book had some twists and some humor. There was a steamy scene that came with a warning about it. Jacqueline Rendell's narration was great, and her performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
This is the final book in the Silver Sisters series and I am so sad, but it was an amazing story. I loved every single story in this series and I hope that more ideas pop into Jennifer L. Hart's creative mind and she writes more tales later lol. Siobhan, Maeve, and Alys Silver are determined to find a way to get Alys's eyesight back. Then their father, who hasn't been in their lives for decades shows up out of the blue. The unthinkable happens, secrets, lies and more. While all that is happening they are planning a wedding, running a magic school and renovating a house. Somehow together they always find a way. I highly recommend this series!
This is the seventh and final book in the Silver Sisters Series, a paranormal women's fiction series. I love this series and this is a great conclusion to the series. The characters are amazing. The storyline is complex and entertaining, filled with intrigue and twists and turns. Jacqueline Rendell did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. I loved the ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
One of the best witchy series I've read in a while. The writing is simple but deliciously put and the story in itself is bubbling with creativity. I love fantasy but was so tired of reading about teen adventures that I found myself settling for historical fiction in search of older MCs. These witches became my way back into fantasy, and what a journey! Thank you so much Jennifer L. Hart. Am looking forward to reading more of this author's work.
In this book by Jennifer L. Hart, Alys is kidnapped after their father comes back in the picture. They must figure out how to get her back and where she is. In this book, they find a sister they didn't know about. This is a book about sisterly love and forgiveness. I'm sorry that this is the last in this series. I highly recommend this series.
This is a great series with lots of character development, romance and unique storylines. This book was darker than I expected but I pushed through knowing there would be a wondrously happy ending. So glad Alys finally truly accepted Brock.
Great book about sisterhood among mature wise women. Ending was a feel good for the reader. Please keep writing! Your style and wit make reading a pleasure.
Jennifer Hart does it again in the latest Silver Sisters book. I can't get enough of this series! It is so well done and representative of what people with long term illnesses go through, as well as representative of the differences that make us unique.
