Decades earlier, trouble stalked the tropical haven of the Florida Keys.
Dark shadows crawled beneath the sun and fun, and children went missing.
Then it all stopped.
Now, for better or worse, the lives of seven people are about to become intricately intertwined. The Lost Boys Kidnapper is back, and only they can stop him.
To do so, though, they'll need to piece back lives ripped apart by past events. Find out what happened to them Before.
This is a prequel novel that sets the stage for Five, and is an entirely optional read.
An interesting prequel which really makes me want to learn more about what happens with each of the characters. I found that these snippets us a good insight as to what the story may be about and wonder what really happened and how does it affect those in the future.

What to expect: ✨️ 1st person, shifting pov ✨️ Short prequel/introduction to characters ✨️ Abduction ✨️ Military men ✨️ Polyamory ✨️ Kinks/spice: mfmm ✨️ TW: abduction, death, abuse
Before(B4) is a super short prequel to the full length novel Five. It introduces the five main characters and gives a brief insight into their past and what events have shaped them. It was more intense and emotional than I thought it would be and quite a bit darker, but I really enjoyed it. There is one briefly described spicy scene but if it's any indication of what the novel will be like then, yes please, sign me up
Evie Rae and Poppy Flynn team up to create the backstory of each man and a woman destined to come together. I love reverse harem, tortured characters, and a dangerous past that haunts them! Set in the Keys, MMCs who are brothers, and Neve who’s back to start a new business and maybe find a relationship like her bf! This is a short story detailing how each man’s personality fits with in their group and setting up how the mystery and trauma they experienced changed their lives and affects their future! I loved the vignette style and then at the end how Neve met a few of these men! Lots of foreshadowing and a promise of steam!! Loved it and ready for the next book!!!.

I haven't read the actual book yet, but this definitely made me interested to know more about these men. I wasn't as interested in Neve's part, but I now do want to know what was happening to the Lost Boys. The background of all these boys/men was also very compelling. Every man had a similar yet different background in emotional angst. This book does a good job at making readers want to know what's going on, why are we learning about all these men, and who Beck, the man at the end, was. Looking forward to reading it all.

A riveting and intense first glimpse into the pasts of a group of people brought together by dark circumstances in their pasts and the woman who becomes the love interests to five of those men. Each chapter focuses on an individual character and gives us a snippet into them. Am seriously looking forward to the full length first book of their story 5. A story that’s loosely inspired by the darker side of Peter Pan and The Lost Boys. Definitely looking to be a must read series just by reading this prequel into it.
This is really great to have a prequel to introduce characters and their backgrounds before getting into the main story where the expectations are to focus on the plot. That’s not to say that you aren’t getting a teaser of what’s to come, but rather it’s nice to have a focus on each character. Sometimes in polyamorous relationship romances some partners get short shrifted, but this prequel really helps to flesh out all the characters, as well as set the mystery in motion.
—>>> This prequel gives a fairly good idea of each character’s background and state of mind, and how they all wind up knowing each other in the next book. It is not a lot of new information, if at all (as far as I can recall), but it is good to have the introduction all in one place to start. This was offered after I had already read the next story.
This book is a prequel to the reverse harem book called Five. This books gives us a glimpse of the characters and their past. It's a very short read but Oh my God it had me on my toes by the time I reach the last page. I can't wait to get my hands on the sequel. This book Contains mentions of abduction, abuse, and polyamory. So check your triggers.

I thoroughly enjoyed the series of the Lost Boys. This was the perfect teaser for anyone who hasn't read the series...or a driver to reread the series if you've already experienced it. There were bits that you read in the original series, but there were a lot of moments that help you see a different perspective of the crew before they came together.

Loving in Numbers prequel, B4 gives us a glimpse into what Oscar, Remi, Cope, Jesse, Beck, Oliver and Neve were before the events that shaped them into what they are now. All shaped by the case of The Lost Boys Kidnapper, their lives become intertwined in the Florida Keys. It was good to have a little more backstory to these characters.

After reading this introduction to characters that will be in Five, I am definitely more than a little intrigued! There is just enough background information given on Neve and her future men so that you are desperate to get your hands on their full length book. That’s where I’m headed 😉

Neve, Jesse, Cope, Remi, Brock, Oscar, Oliver … they all have their individual stories, their backgrounds, and this prequel provides that insight into who they are and how that became that way. I enjoyed getting this glimpse - it makes the stories that unfold after that much richer. A delicious taste.
This is a fab prequel that introduces us to Neve, Jesse, Cope, Remi, Brock, Oscar and Oliver . We do get some good insight/background to each character, some spice and definitely some darkness, which made it all quite intriguing to me. I'm looking forward to reading book one to see how things unfold for these interesting characters :D

The prequel triggered me a lot more than I expected. I am eager to know what happens with these characters and how well they shall interact in the future. This will be a must read series to me. The boys have gotten my attention already.
