She-Hulk's new archnemeses have finally shown their face, and in this issue, we pull back the curtain. Who are they? What do they want with She-Hulk? The answers to these questions will chill you to the bone.
This She-Hulk series continues a very slow paced style of storytelling. This entire issue is dedicated to Mark and April as they Research and plot to turn themselves into Hulk's with She-Hulk's blood.
The series is enjoyable but I'm always left hoping the pace is sped up a bit. We need some She-Hulk smashing.
This issue concerns itself with the backstory to Jen's current nemeses. The motivations are clear (and pathetic and sad, on a character level), but what isn't clear is Jen's position in their world should they get what they want. The writing continues to be clever yet succinct. The artwork never fails. Every page a joy.
You need to read issue no.7 for the other part of the story.I got the tv series she hulk mixed sloppily with that movie with Adrian Brody and Sarah polley to the point that I could see them as the characters.
Jennifer’s newest arch nemesis is more cunning than I would have expected. She is also sad. Working her whole life to steal somebody else’s identity rather than creating her own. Her husband wanted to smash. She wanted to think. Gamma gave them exactly what they wanted.
Maybe I just read through it fast, but this one felt SHORT. It was great to get an origin on the baddies though, they've got a neat story! Seriously though, by the time the issue ended I thought I was only halfway done!
I liked this chapter! After the last one's explosive ending, this one could feel like a bit of a pause, but I enjoyed the focus on this arc's villains. It was interesting getting to know them.
I was wondering who the big bad would be. This issue is the reveal. I like these characters motivations. Hubris and narcissism often have a heavy price. No spoilers from me. Nice issue.
