This entertaining and insightful memoir of John Bell, Australia's foremost Shakespearian actor and director, tells of family, friends, colleagues, plays, and roles. Spiced with intriguing anecdotes and strong opinions, illustrated with 32 pages of fascinating photos, this is the story of a celebrated life spent joyously in the theatre.
I am not a huge fan of autobiographies, but I adored this one. Partly, as I spent much of my youth at Nimrod Productions and my overwhelming passion for all thinks Shakespearean. But beyond that, this is well-written, engaging and unpretentious.
