From the creative team of James Kuhoric, Kevin Sharpe, Fernando Blanco, and a host of all-star cover artists, the Ash vs. The Classic Monsters (and More) TPB collection features issues #8 through #13 of the 2006 Spike TV Scream Award
Ash fights a big team-up of Dracula, Frankenstein, mummies and werewolves. No creatures from the Black Lagoon, Blobs, or Killer Tomatoes, though. It was an okay idea which wasn't that well executed. The jokes and puns weren't very funny. The action never felt very exciting. I didn't hate it, but there's nothing especially good about it. The plot was interesting enough and I could follow it, but the characters expressing emotions just all felt over dramatic and overly sudden. The writer was clearly really trying to do good things, but ultimately came up pretty short.
It was better than the past comics, but ... Just read it if you are an evil dead hardcore fan, or if you have nothing else to read, or do, and downloaded it from the Internet. Very VERY bad comics series.
