தி. மாரிமுத்து என்பவர் ஒரு தமிழக எழுத்தாளர். நுண்கலையில் பட்டயக் கல்வி பெற்றுள்ள இவர் “யூமா வாசுகி” எனும் புனைப்பெயரிலும் எழுதி வருகிறார். “உனக்கும் உலகுக்கும்”, “தோழமை இருள்”, “அமுத பருவம்” எனும் கவிதை நூல்களையும், “உயிர்த்திருத்தல்” எனும் சிறுகதைப் படைப்பையும், “மோர்னிங் திக்கெட்ஸ்” எனும் ஓவியப் படைப்பையும் வழங்கியிருக்கிறார். இவர் எழுதிய "ரத்த உறவு" எனும் நூல் தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித் துறையின் 2000 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான சிறந்த நூல்களில் புதினம் எனும் வகைப்பாட்டில் பரிசு பெற்றிருக்கிறது. மலையாள எழுத்தாளர் ஓ. வி. விஜயனின் ‘கஸாக்குகளின் இதிகாசம் என்ற புதினத்தைத் தமிழில் மொழிபெயர்த்ததற்காக, 2017 ஆண்டுக்கான சாகித்ய அகாடமி விருது பெற்றார்.

Three and half stars.

There are ten stories (for children) in this collection.
This collection recently received the Sahitya Akademi Bala Puraskar Award.

These stories are meant for the kids aged between 10 and 15.

The stories are narrated in simple manner in the language of the kids. Through these stories the children are taught to love and respect all the family members, friends, plants & trees, and animals. They are not done in a preachy manner. But they are conveyed via the narration of the stories.
