Goodreads won’t let me use Armenian letters so…
The book makes you feel like you’re in a room with the author having the most unexpected conversation about the things you never really noticed. He has so much to say but it seems he couldn’t have said it verbally so he wrote this book.
Even more, when you read it at night when everyone’s asleep (like me) you will completely get into the book, its every line, every phrase, every new paragraph. It’s a WHOLE conversation the author would’ve loved to have with his readers. And maybe other people too.
If you’ve ever been in Yerevan, there are some scenes you can clearly imagine and feel, scenes I’d never paid much attention to thinking they were just ordinary Yerevan things. The author successfully shifts your view of a lot of events, everyday incidents, small actions, and shows them from a bigger point of view.
This is a conversation you should have with Aram on a sleepless night, in a room alone, while everybody’s asleep. And it’s a conversation you may hardly ever experience.
I’m sure I will come back to the same “room”, at the same hour, with the same book.

Հակասկան զգացողություններ ունեմ Պաչյանի գործերի նկատմամբ։
Հենց այս գիրքը ներառում է իր մեջ հեղինակի կարճ էսսեներն ու պատմվածքները։ Իրականում գիրքը կարդալու ամբողջ ընթացքում ինձ թվացել է, թե ականատես եմ լինում հեղինակի ներքին խոսակցությանն՝ ինքն իր հետ։ Գիրքը ունի յուրահատուկ մոգական ուժ եւ Արամ Պաչյանին հատուկ խորություն։ Երեւանին առնչվող պատմությունները առավել համակրելի ու նոստալգիկ էին ինձ համար։
Միակը դժվարությունը, որ ունենում եմ Արամ Պաչյանի գործերն ընթերցելիս, նրա որոշ գործերի՝ չափից շատ աբստրակտ լինելու փաստն է։ Մեկ-մեկ այդ աբստրակցիայի պատճառով չեմ կարողանում կենտրոնանալ այն էջի վրա, որը կարդում եմ: Ու ինձանից բավականաչափ ջանքեր են պահանջվում ուշադրությանս կիզակետը չկորցնելու համար: Լինում են ժամանակներ, երբ այս փաստ այնքան հոգնեցուցիչ է, որ ստիպում է կորցնել հետաքրքրությունս գործի նկատմամբ։
