Starting with a shocking tragedy and ending with a funeral, both episodes are well-written but with no punches pulled. Whole book beautifully written but with some wonderful passages, one-word descriptions of some characters, childhood thoughts, an embarrassing revelation around Dan's dog's name to mention just a few of the delights. With a gentle humour, moving and unputdownable
