Hey there, I’m Luke Richardson, and I’m applying for the job as your next favorite author!
As an Amazon bestselling author, I've had the honour of sharing my stories with readers all around the world. Whether you're a history buff, a travel addict, or just looking for a little excitement in your reading, my books are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
I write books that take you on a journey to foreign and exotic places, blending history, adventure, and suspense into a gripping tale.
In my books, you'll find yourself transported to places like the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, the glitzy skyscrapers of Hong Kong, or the shady backstreets of Kathmandu in Nepal. But it's not just about the locations; my stories are also filled with fascinating characters, unexpected twists, and edge-of-your-seat action.
It was visiting India for the first time that actually made me want to start writing. The sun had just risen as we landed at Mumbai airport. The taxi journey that followed was one of the most incredible of my life. I watched the city unfold like a story. People washing, children playing, chickens, cows, goats, all beside an eight-lane motorway.
I love sharing my stories and am proud to say that my books have been well-received by readers and reviewers. One of the greatest compliments I get is when people say that my books transport them to a new place. Although people often comment on the loveable characters, intricate plots, and fast-paced storytelling too. And I'm always working hard to bring you even more thrilling adventures.
So, if you're looking for a page-turning read that will take you on a journey to far-off lands, look no further than my books. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
Book 3 in this terrific series and at risk of repeating myself I have to say this series and writing just gets better and better, the story is a high pressure thriller set around the fascinating maybe world of Atlantis and proof that this world may exist…now I say fascinating as with all this writers writes about he makes it so interesting…I never took much interest in Atlantis tbh and yet again in this series I am riveted to a subject I never knew was so enjoyable to learn about and be involved with, every time this author writes about a subject I am drawn in and take real interest…… Eden is back and a mind blowing account of her heritage is told and that based with revenge ( and secretive Orbs of historical info ) make the plot for this tense thriller, as always we are whisked around the world with Mexico being the main place and we are involved with the characters in treacherous situations and places…..with a few mischievous monkeys thrown in this time for good measure It is a clever, well spun and highly readable book with all the elements needed for a pounding adventure close to hand Brilliantly done.
If you enjoy a n exciting, adrenaline filled adventure you couldn’t do better than read Luke’s new book. From page one you get hooked into a fast paced adventure from searching for ancient pyramids to exploring dark passages, from finding an ancient race to searching for Atlantis. This book has it all. Luke as always gives brilliant descriptions making you feel like you’re really in the story. As always a brilliant read. This is a great series!
The Eden Black thriller series has been gathering a loyal following, for good reasons. Well written and gripping action, set in directly researched locations, are hallmarks of Luke Richardson novels.
This Book 3 takes the author out of his usual haunts into a new setting, Central America. And the author and Eden take us thru new action to solve complex issues and vile character conflicts.
I was rather surprised by some of the plot resolutions, but that is what makes this author’s work so compelling.
If you are, like me, a Luke Richardson fan, you will love this story. If this is your first travel with Luke, you will be hooked and more than anxious to delve into his other books.
If you have ever wondered if Atlantis is a myth or truly a place that existed and is
buried in the sea, you are not alone. Eden Black, our hero, is with you on that.
Eden is an intrepid explorer, this time on the trail of some orbs that have been buried for longer than we can ever be sure, certainly for at least thousands of years. The orbs have an energy unheard of in these modern times and marked with what looks like an outline of the seas and land masses of the earth. These orbs have been buried for many, many years, long before humans had the ability to define lands and map their outlines. The stuff of which archeologists dream.
Every character in this story is well defined; there is not one that you will feel is a stranger for long. Richardson makes sure of that. Richardson is also very talented at taking us with him into places that most of us will never see. I am with the characters as they face danger, as they ponder their archeological finds, and as their relationships with each other develop.
If you like a mystery that has danger, unexpected turns and characters that are real to you, this is the book for you. I highly recommend it.
I almost gave this book 3 Stars. Which would have been wrong. I read to escape, I read to learn, I read to imagine. This book does these things. The author is talented, the protagonist lovable with plot twists and action. But it reads as if it was hoping to be a screenplay, that Hollywood could Make look good but is still far too unbelievable. Am i talking about Atlantis, or a race of slow aging magical beings-no, that’s fine with me. A special Ops soldier “cutting” the parachords of his chute? NEVER going to happen. A first time jumper even getting close to a ship On water? NOPE. Highly trained assassins who lack any combat knowledge. Sorry. Seriously, go do a few jumps at your local paracenter. Then go to a local gun range, learn about and fire the weapons you mention(see how long it takes to empty a clip on an AK-47). You have so much talent, stop letting lack of knowledge about a few elements ruin a book that was otherwise great!
Eden Black chases the legendary Orbs of Atlantis, and someone chases her!
Legend has it that in the far distant past a strange figure appeared in all the major civilizations of the day. He taught them advanced building techniques, helped them develop a writing system to record their thoughts and ideas, then leaving them. He left behind 12 orbs, one for each civilization, containing the knowledge he had given them and much more! The orbs, each about 4 inches in diameter and made from a silicon like material, were etched on the outside with the coastlines of every land mass in the world as they appeared 10 thousand years ago. Each also had a spot indicated by a symbol...a circle within a circle within a circle...the symbol for Atlantis!
Dr. Vittoria DeLuca and Dr. Richard Beaumont found 2 of those orbs in the ground beneath the Temple of Bel near Palmyra, Syria, then lost them to mysterious thieves in two black 4x4s. Years later another orb was found deep beneath the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacán. Dr. DeLuca was called in to examine the find and knew immediately what it was! To make sure this orb wasn't stolen or lost, she hired a private jet to fly it directly to her lab at the University of Miami, Florida. The plane was mysteriously lost in the Mexican wilderness with two pilots and Drs. DeLuca and Sergio Ramirez onboard. But knowledge of the orb was out and the race was on to find the fabled Atlantis and Eden Black was leading the search!
Excellent characters and a storyline twisted with dead ends and false leads, surprises around every corner. The author seems fluent on the subject and leads our heroes, Eden Black and her father Alexander Winslow, as they struggle to stay one step ahead of pursuit. The subject is fascinating, exploring the legend of Atlantis and the strange advanced civilization rumored to live there. The orbs are key to exploring that ancient peoples and their advanced knowledge, but someone doesn't wish that knowledge to become public. Eden's search is frought with danger at every turn! The goal is near! This is an awesome read!
Holy moly guacamole or bloody hell that was brilliant! Take your pick!
This is the third instalment of the Eden Black Archeological thriller series and boy does it make for explosive reading. Who doesn't love a story about Atlantis? What Luke has achieved in writing the story is that he has taken the mystery to other level. I mean that literally! After the first few chapters my mind was completely blown away and that continued throughout the book.
The storyline takes you back nearly thirty years to when Alexander Winslow is in search of an artifact deep in the Brazilian Amazon, with two guides to help him what they discover is something truly amazing and Winslow walks away with more than he bargained for.
Whilst in Syria Deluca and Beaumont discover two Orbs that predates anything they have seen before and take them back to their lab to study them more closely, what they didn't bank on was that some very unfriendly people wanted what they had taken. Do the orbs really show the way to Atlantis? Unfortunately they where taken from them before they could find the secrets they hold.
Back to the present day and Eden, Anthena and Baxter are searching the Pyramids of Teotihuacàn for a mysterious Orb of which no one has seen for thousands of years. Will their mission be a successful one or will it end in disaster?
Who is always one step ahead of The Council and how do they know what the team are up to next?
From beginning to end the book keeps you completely hooked. Down to the finest details as to what plane they are flying in to the countries that the whole group visit. It's one hell of a ride with some absolutely jaw dropping discoveries. Roll on book 4
Book three kicks off by revealing Eden’s origins which was probably my favorite part of the book. This one gives us a deeper look into Winslow’s character and the trio consisting of Eden, Baxter and Athena is established and hopefully will be the main crew moving forward. I am interested to see where the story continues from here. I really enjoy how each book further expands on the world and introduces more characters whereas the first book felt a little too small, but again, each book builds upon the previous one. Originally, I thought each story would be a standalone adventure and it’s interested how each connects to the previous one. I also think it’s neat how certain side characters either get their own spinoff series or are guest stars from a separate series, hinting at a wider universe. The one thing I do miss from the previous book was the focus on exploring the book’s unique setting to follow the clues to the artifact.
Brazil, 1990. When a landslide uncovers an unknown pyramid deep in the Amazon jungle, Alexander Winslow hires two native brothers to guide him there. What he finds changes his life.
Syria, 2011. After making a surprising discovery on a dig, Richard Beaumont and his partner Ms. DeLuca try to hide it, but are captured and their artifact stolen.
I love how, even though the story line of the individual book concludes, the series storyline weaves on using different archeological discoveries that lead to the next clue. This one goes back a bit with the answer to a small, almost inconsequential question from the previous book and leads into the next adventure.
Fave scenes: the little girl, the crane & the trailer, the Mayan calendar and Eden parachuting.
I read this book in 2 days, as I just couldn't put it down, it kept me reading from start to finish. The history of Eden's actual birthplace and who she's descended from, great twist and brings more intrigue to the story. Hoping there'll be more about that in future books. I was disappointed that it wasn't really about Atlantis, but only because this is something that fascinates me immensely. (I'm hoping they'll find it in a future book) but still a great book from cover to cover, that I couldn't stop reading. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. And I will be downloading the next book shortly. Keep writing these great books, I love them, there's not enough archaeological thriller type books available, we definitely need more.
The Atlantis Agenda by Luke Richardson 1/20/2026 Kindle
The tale begins with a mysteriously marked glowing orb that prompts speculation it might offer directions to the location of the lost city of Atlantis. Gossip only intensifies with its disappearance. This book is more fantasy than historical but is entertaining to read. The action continues from start to finish, often illogical, but interesting enough to hold your attention. I especially enjoyed the factual background when it was given. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough. I was hoping for less fiction, but found the book sufficiently worthy to give the author more attention. I’ll try others and recommend this one as an entertaining, quick read.
An author's responsibility even if it is well written
IF A DIABETIC's SUGAR IS CRASHING AND THEY ARE HYPOGLYCEMIC! PLEASE DO NOT ADMINISTER THEM AN INSULIN SHOT. INSULIN LOWERS BLOOD SUGAR. THAT PERSON NEEDS GLUCOSE, GLASS OF FRUIT JUICE
Anyway a well written book apart from the lack of homework into a diabetic dealing with a hypoglycemic episode. The mysteries of our history, our future, secret societies, shadow governments, the human psyche, paranoia, fear, and control, divide and conquer. It set my imagination on fire. Like being a fly on the wall. Loved the series so far
this is the first Luke Richardson book I've ever listened to or read. I like Archaeology so this an interesting read for me. what if Atlantis is real but does not want to be found? what if the little girl taken from the jungle that day is an Atlantean but has been raised human? What if one day they want her back?? IF you like mysteries and thrillers this just might be a series that would interest you. I'm going to look for more of this series I listened to the audio version of this and nearly 8 hours went by very quickly hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Another new author for me and another that I like :)
Eden Black and her colleagues unexpectedly find themselves chasing after the Lost City of Atlantis. Adventure ensues.
I’ve now read three books in this series, and they all follow the same pattern: (1) Eden is doing something perfectly innocent and normal. (2) Someone does something crazy and unexpected. (3) Eden, Athena, and Baxter react heroically and are ALMOST caught, captured, or killed. (4) An ally is revealed as an enemy. (5) Eden and crew save the day through a series of improbable actions. I think I’m done with this series for now — I need to switch things up for a while, but I can’t say I won’t ever come back to see what happens next.
Eden Black is a back with new discoveries and skills learned. What's real, what's fiction? She has to figure it out . Fang, Fasslane, Ramiraz what's right, what's wrong? The Atlantis spheres what are they? Not sure what they are, only the trouble they cause and Eden , friends and family are pulled in . What they all go through is very entertaining and informative. The Author's Note are great also. Great job. Looking forward to more of Eden us adventures. Thank you.
While still a great adventure, I didn't enjoy this story quite as much as I did earlier ones in the series. I think it was because there were fewer archeology aspects than usual. Also, a few things stretched credibility a bit. Although, to be fair, I've learned to overlook things like this especially with this genre. The usual team is back together so that was fun and there were several surprises that I didn't see coming so kudos there. We get a bit of Eden's backstory and that was quite interesting. Can't wait for the next book to come out.
I loved this book! The Atlantis Agenda has a well thought out, exciting, complex plot with likable, believable characters. Dialogue is natural with humorous side notes that lighten the tension. Best of all, there’s no cliffhanger (yay!) while still creating the expectation that Eden Black, Winslow, and the rest of the crew will be back! I reviewed a free Advance Reader copy of this book with no strings attached.
review of the “Atlantis Agenda” by Luke Richardson
Another great book with our hero Eden Black to keep me awake at night. Excellent imagination and seat of your pants excitement with lots of surprises. I often wondered myself if Atlantis really existed but we may never know. Maybe another Eden Black novel could clarity that idea. We could always hope. A great read you will enjoy it
I enjoyed the action of Eden & the gang, but it’s getting annoying that there’s tantalizing story threads that are never more fully developed, and this has continued throughout the series. Let’s find out more about the mysterious Atlantis tribesman! Is Eden Atlantean in heritage, and what does that mean for her? What’s the story with Nora Byrd? When are Eden & Baxter going to get serious? Develop your plots further or don’t leave us hanging.
The Atlantis Agenda started out as an exciting ancient archeological novel in which ancient orbs were discovered in several locations with the hint of something exciting about to come. The first part of the book was easily 5 stars, but the rest, in my opinion, stretched some activities into long, drawn out descriptions and actions that could have been shortened / compressed to move the plot along.
Just when you think it can't get any better, it does!
This series is wonderful and totally engrossing....Suffice to say, it has to be experienced...descriptions do not do it justice.... Meanwhile, as I pick up the next in the series, my TBR stack of best sellers I cannot wait to read, waits. Oh well, sigh,on to the next in this very special series! Again, my sincere appreciation to the author!
When an orb is discovered in Mexico and thought to be from the lost city of Atlantis, the entire archeological world takes notice. When the orb and the team who discovered it mysteriously vanish, Dr. Eden Black and her team take on a dangerous mission to unravel the mystery and save her colleagues with lots of twists and turns along the way. This is part of a series, but I read it as a stand-alone. Good plot, engaging characters, overall good read.
Luke Richardson has crafted an excellent thriller. He "solved" the question of the location of Atlantis. New characters were brought into this story and it took until the end of the book to understand their significance.
There were several brilliant red herrings, lots of action and suspence, and maybe clues to future stories.
I highly recommend this book and the series. It is best to read the books in order.
The third book in the Eden Black series knocks it out of the park.
As a long time history buff Luke Richardson's Eden Black series gives me a chance to read about the historical mysteries that humanity has tried to answer for ages. Using great characters, clever back stories and action in settings all around the globe combine in creating a great adventure series for all to read.
A strange orb is found, and from it comes the chase of a lifetime for Eden Black. She is not only the hunter but becomes the hunted as they search for Atlantis using these orbs that are found. Will they finally find Atlantis? Will some secrets be revealed? That's up to you to find out when you read this excellent novel by Luke Richardson!
Atlantis has always been an intriguing mystery to me, so I had trouble to put the book down. Eden is fantastic and she has a pack of splendid people around her. I’m always rooting for them!
Richardson masters the art of writing tales that invite you to dive in and don’t come up for air until the final page has been read !
Luke Richardson did it again. He started with adventure and surprised us with the results. I won't give details to avoid spoiler alerts, but he did double deceptions about his characters and their situations throughout with who knew who, who was the bad guy and who was good.
Typical of an Eden Black story, all the protagonists get into what seem like impossible situations. As I learned during my Project Management training, the difficult we do straight away, the impossible takes a little longer. As usual, the bad guys get eaten and the good guys celebrate with a drink. Will Eden and Baxter get together? Read and find out. 😊
A wonderful weaving of a story. In comparison to other archeological thriller writers Mr. Richardson is my favorite as his stories are fluid and not anywhere as fanciful as others. His stories have solid conclusions but leave just enough of a bread crumb trail to keep you yearning for the next book.
Action packed adventure. Archeologists find an Orb that is thought to be of Atlantis. Eden Black takes on another dangerous mission to save her father and his crew. Dangerous men with fire power and numbers stand against them. A hard to put down novel.
