"The Holy Paragraph Edition" is faithful to the old beloved Text, yet with the removal of the verse divisions. This allows the reader a new perspective to read the Bible smoothly and contextually. My greatest hope and sincerest prayer is that you, dear Reader, will be blessed in your heart, nourished in your soul, helped in your spiritual walk, comforted in your tribulations, encouraged in your work for the Lord, and increased in your knowledge and faith as you read "The Holy Paragraph Edition". May the Truths of God's Word become more apparent and come together in all godly wisdom and understanding.
I want to be clear that this is not a review for the Bible itself, God hardly needs my review of His Holy Word! This is a review for this edition, a paragraphed KJV for the Kindle.
I really enjoy reading the Bible in a paragraphed form. I doubt if I could preach from a paragraphed Bible, it would make finding a particular verse more difficult, but reading the Word of God in this format helps me to see the overall cohesiveness of ideas and doctrine in general and the books in particular.
I have a very old Kindle Fire (the first model they made I believe) so this version may work better or worse on whatever Kindle you have. Also, if you have a new Paperwhite laying around I'll send you my mailing address. :)
I used this paragraphed Bible simply to read. My goal was to complete the entirety of the Scripture in a very short amount of time. Sorry to say but I didn't meet my goal, but it wasn't the Bible's fault. I did, however, finish the Bible with this edition, just not as quickly as I had hoped.
This Bible is easy to use, and has has some advantages if you are reading to read, if that makes sense. Each chapter has a number, but the verse numbers have been eliminated, which, for me, makes it easier to keep my head down and stay focused on reading. Jumping from book to book seems a little clunky, but if you are reading the Bible in its given order that won't be an issue for you. Due to that fact, however, I am giving this version four stars.
I would have to go back to check, but I think I paid 99 cents for this edition which is a steal. If you are wanting to read the Scriptures with as few distractions as possible on the page, this is the Bible for you.
Wow! What a wonderful reading experience from the Bible!
A study Bible--this is not. A Bible to follow along with at Church--this is not. A Bible to read--this is the one!
No distractions, easy to find books and chapters (just not particular verses) a pure joy to read, and in doing so, learn about our awesome God--and that from His own self-revelation to us!
It took me a while to find this treasure, but only 99 cents to purchase? What a deal!
