Darius “Mustang “ Ford is leader of Teqm Raptor. He is a great man and honesty is his policy.
Fennmore Harley is a determined , a great investigator, and stands and fights for what is right.
Fenmore and Darius have a past, which leads to each other again. She helps to
try to overturn Team Raptor’s judgement, knowing that they did not deserve it.
Darius and Fenmore work together to gather the evidence needed to unravel who wants Team Raptor gone.
I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
This book has suspense, intrigue, action packed, a page turner and romance.

A great read, with plenty of action and suspense. Twists I did not see coming and steamy romance in a new five author series. The author packs a lot into less than 200 pages.
Darius Ford's last mission did not go as planned, but were they set up? More questions than answers, and Special Agent Fenmore Harley wants to get to the bottom of the story. But Darius and Fenmore have a history; will it work with or against them?
I am looking forward to more in this series.

Jen Talty has done it again; I loved Darius’ Promise and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Darius’ Promise is the first book in the multi author Brotherhood Protectors Colorado World - Team Raptor series. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Who does not love a romantic thriller with a surprise ending? Once again Jen Talty has shown that she is a master storyteller and definitely did not disappoint her readers. I love how she developed the story line and the characters. It was impossible to put it down and loved every moment on every page of this incredible page turner. I love the second chance love story, the setting, and the amazing characters! My favorite part is how Jen Talty incorporated the title of the book into the love story. Jen Talty has once again delivered an amazing story filled with everything that I have come to love about her books. She has once again provided her readers with the amazing characters that I have come to love and expect in her books, they feel like family! I love how Jen develops her characters in such a way that you fall in love with them and care about them much like a good friend. Jen Talty continues to deliver all that and so much more. Darius’ Promise: Brotherhood Protectors World is the story of former lovers Darius Ford, former captain in the U.S. Army and Fenmore Harley Special Agent with the FBI. Following Darius’s Team Raptor’s last Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) mission in Syria, Darius and his surviving team members are sentenced to an other-than-honorable discharge and stripped of their ranks by the review board which Fenmore was part of. Darius and his team move to Fool’s Gold, Colorado to join the Colorado division of the Brotherhood Protectors. Fenmore takes vacation and heads to Colorado to meet with Darius. She informs Darius that she was the only member of the review board that voted for honorable discharge. Fenmore is looking into their final mission and why it was quickly brought before the review board. As Fenmore and Darius work together to try to figure out what happened on the mission things change between them. As they investigate what really went down and the mysterious file that was hidden on one of the other review board members’ personal computer. Then an unexpected plot twist that changes things between. Darius’ Promise was an incredible romantic thriller and had me guessing who was really behind what happened to Team Raptor in Syria and the incidents that were happening to Fenmore and Darius. I never saw the all the villains until they were revealed in the story. It truly took me by surprise. My favorite part is the ending, and how it is a perfect ending. It was an incredible romantic thriller. Looking for a great romantic thriller, then I highly recommend Darius’ Promise.

I love these five book series from Elle James Brotherhood World, and who better to start the series off than with the wonderful Jen Talty.
This is set to be a brilliant series and is kicked off with a bang with Darius and Fenmore’s story.
I love the camaraderie and dynamics within the group. I thought all the guys complimented each other perfectly as they all brought something different to the group.
Darius is a larger than life character. His moral compass points determinedly true north at all times. He has dedicated his life to protecting those who cannot protect themselves and defending his country.
It was awe inspiring to get a front row seat to his second chance with Fenmore. He’s a beautiful character. He openly cares and listens to others which is so refreshing.
Fenmore is a fantastic character. My heart aches for the impossible situation she found herself in but loved that knowing a wrong had been handed down she pursued the truth relentlessly.
She’s as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and I love how both Darius and Fenmore both firmly believe in honesty at all costs, especially when it comes to their personal lives.
It was one heck of an exhilarating rollercoaster ride watching them delve into their investigation to unravel the puzzle of who wants them.
A truly fantastic start to a series by Jen Talty. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Is vindication possible?
Fenmore knows there is something shady about Raptor's discharge and when her questions are repeatedly shut down she knows she is on to something. Fortunately it only makes her more determined regardless of what Raptor want, but as the danger increases Darius realises he has far more invested than just the truth being uncovered.....he needs Fenmore to stay safe, to be a part of his life and he will give up everything for her. Whilst this realisation terrifies him, it motivates him far more than just clearing their names. Independently they are some of the best at what they do, but together...they are unstoppable and secrets never stay buried, especially when there is deception and corruption at multiple levels.
This is a team who have lost far too much, including their will to clear their names, they know the truth and hold their heads high but for those who cost them the lives of their team members and their own careers there will never be forgiveness and if an opportunity for vengeance should appear, they will not hesitate. The loses have brought them even closer as a team, but each deals with their grief in a different way and some are closer to breaking point than others, the understanding, support and love they offer each other may be a product of their service and the need for it is heartbreaking, but the fact that they have pulled together and not been splintered apart is heartwarming.

After a mission goes totally FUBAR, Darius and his team were arrested, and less than honorably discharged. Now they work for the Brotherhood Protectors in Colorado.
Fenmore Harley has arrived in Fool's Gold, Jake is concerned about Darius' possible relationship with her, believing she should have recused herself from the review board after that disastrous mission. Darius isn't concerned feeling that it was a very short-lived relationship.
Fenmore meets with Darius and explains she wants to find a reason to reopen their case. She doesn't agree with the way the review board handled the situation and believes they should have gotten at least a general discharge but believes it truly should have been honorable discharges.
The thing Darius finds most disturbing is that she wants to use Wally's daughter Harlow to unearth the truth of what happened on that mission.
Harlow finds something but she won't send it electronically, that means they have to go to her, but Fenmore's boss can't know she's anywhere near home.
From here everything heats up both in the investigation and personally for Darius and Fenmore.
Plenty of action, suspense, romance and sizzle in this page-turning read.

An exciting addition to the Brotherhood Protector's World! When a JSOC mission goes bad, Darius Ford and his team of brothers find themselves given a less-than-honorable discharge from the military. They knew they were unjustly accused, but were not given a chance to prove it. Trying to put all the BS behind them, they join the Brotherhood Protectors as military trainers at The Centre in Colorado. "He and his team had moved on. They were relatively happy.... It didn't affect their jobs, but changed who they'd become." Fenmore, our heroine, and coincidentally, our hero's old flame is on a mission to exonerate Darius and his team. But proving them innocent targets Darius's (and hated) mission superior in the spotlight as guilty. It's a no win-no win scenario with high stakes. And when someone doesn't want the truth to come out, the "fun" begins. I loved this story! Strong hero and heroine-check. Attention grabbing adventure - check. Cheeky romantic interaction- check. They arrive back home, still grieving this loss, only to unjustly be accused of wrongful acts and all were dishonorably discharged and lost their pensions. They regain their lives by going as a team to work for the Brotherhood Protectors. Just as they are trying to build a new life for themselves, Fenmore arrives at Fool’s Gold to inform Darius that she wants to reopen the case. Fenmore happens to be Darius’ ex-girlfriend who he has never forgotten, but more importantly, she was on the review board that brought the charges that got them dismissed from the service.
Love the twists and turns as Fenmore and Darius begin to dig deeper to find out the truth about the failed mission, all while trying to stay ahead of the people trying to silence them. In the process, their feelings for each other grow stronger as well. Loved it, and look forward to reading about the other members of Team Raptor.

Darius Ford’s team was ambushed while on a mission in Syria after following his leader Walter Mathis’ orders. For his trouble and the death of three of his men, his team received dishonorable discharges when a formal investigation found them guilty. The only person on the review board who believed the investigation was rushed was the woman who meant more to Darius than anyone, his ex-girlfriend and FBI Special Agent Fenmore Harley. Darius and his team are now settling in with their new job working for the Colorado division of the highly coveted Brotherhood Protectors. They may have moved on but Fenmore has been busy turning over rocks trying to get their convictions overturned eventually making her a target when she contacts Darius with the evidence she found. Now the whole team is working to keep them both safe.

Army Captain Darius Ford had a feeling on his latest mission and he should have listened to it but he didn't and now he has lost three members of his team and the other five have been dishonourable discharged but luckily they have found a home with the Colorado Brotherhood Protectors running The Centre a training facility teaching military skills. FBI agent Fenmore Harley was on the board that sentenced them and something doesn't add up and she doesn't think it is because she and Darius have a past and she is determined to get to the bottom of what is going on. But her persistence has pout her in danger that even a FBI agent can't battle alone so she will need the help of Darius and his team to keep her safe and maybe in the process clear their names This is a fast paced twisting tale that is the perfect start to this Five book series.

(4.5)Team Raptor - there's a team name to make you pause. This is book 1 in a 5 author series that falls within Brotherhood Protectors World. This mini series is in Colorado. Darius is the leader and while deployed there is a snafu that causes the lost of 3 men. Snafu - betrayal, set up and they bare the cost. Brotherhood Protectors offers them a place. Fenmore with the FBI a short term romance that didn't end well is going to bat for them. There is plenty of intrigue, action, suspense and romance. My one issue is the quick wrap of the end with the guilty party. I am not so sure if I believe that. It might be a red herring. So far (just starting book 4 as of this writing) its not. What a great way to start off the Team Raptor series. As the team leader, Captain Darius Ford did his best to follow orders as well as protect his team. When things went wrong, he knew something wasn’t right. As the team was met by MPs when they landed, he was also greeted by Special Agent Fenmore Harley. She believed him but her hands were tied, at least for the moment. As they were stripped of their military career, they all remained as a team and are working for Brotherhood Protectors. When she took a long vacation, she came to see Darius instead of going to Florida. Little did she know that lives were at stake as they unraveled encrypted messages, betrayal, and learned to trust life was better together than apart if possible.

I really enjoy this series from Elle James and I love that she's opened up this world for other authors. This is the first of Team Raptor's 5 books and a great start with Captain Darius Ford. We see how they broke away from the military and joined the Brotherhood Protectors. Someone doesn't want the real story told, these men were all supposed to die but 5 are left to fight for justice. FBI agent Fenmore is still on the case regarding their discharge in her own time in secret. She wants the truth told and the men to have honour in their lives. Darius and Fenmore work together, they have a brief past and sparks are still flying. Will they keep this professional and go on with their lives?

Wow. My brain is still spinning over everything in this book. And I’m about to one-click the heck out of the rest of the collection because I have a feeling there’s still a lot more going on than Darius and Fenmore have been able to uncover. However, I adored seeing the second chance that these two were able to find during their investigation, and I just loved watching them work together. They were able to disagree but still see the value in each other’s contributions. Now, I’m a little desperate to discover the rest of the story.

Darius and his team were dishonourably discharged and one of the members on the review board was Fenmore, a woman he had a relationship with. His team joined BH training at a centre in Colorado and will eventually go out on assignments. Months have passed but Fenmore knows there is more to their mission that went wrong and digs to find the truth to give Darius and his team a reversal on the dishonourable discharge. As the two work together to find the truth….someone wants it buried and will do whatever it takes to bury them.

Darius and his team got a raw deal when they followed orders and then got dishonorable discharges. Thankfully the Brotherhood Protectors knew they were the good guys and hired them. Before they can go on their first mission, Darius' ex-girlfriend Fenmore, who was also on the panel that found his team guilty, shows up wanting to prove they are innocent. I enjoy reading stories with lots of twists and turns, keeps you guessing until the end. Some hanky panky along the way leading to an HEA. I challenge you to pick out the bad guy before Darius and Fenmore do. I received an ARC and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

Darius is finally content in his new job with his crew. They still have to go day to day after their last op went horribly. Fenmore, the short affair that he's never gotten over, shows up at his office to tell him she believes he and his crew about what happened, and she's going to prove it.

Darius and Fenmore find themselves on opposite sides when he and his team are put before a review board that she is on. Darius is mad and has no issue lashing out about it. Fenmore decides to risk her career because something doesn't fit about what happened. I will say she was pretty rigid in her belief that the bad guy wasn't who Darius and his team think it is. The book was interesting and entertaining. It was pretty concise and to the point and didn't have endless words and paragraphs as fillers.

So this book appears to be a spin off from the Brotherhood Protector series by Elle James. I was trying to work out where it fits in and the references to Logan and Harlow are frustrating because I don’t know if we are meant to know about them from another book or if we will get the full story later on.
Apart from that, I enjoyed the storyline and was good to see Darius and his team prevail. Fenmore is like a bulldog when she knows she is right and thank goodness for her strength and willingness to see justice done. She is one strong woman.

Amazing story!!
Finding out the truth for him and his team is all Daruis wants. He is very happy that he and his team are part of the Brotherhood Protectors now but still wants justice for the team and the 3 they lost.
Fenmore is putting her job on the line for wanting the truth to be found for Darius and his team.
Darius and Fenmore had had a short fling in the past but are reconnecting now.
Will this investigation bring them together or push them apart? Will justice be found?

Strong together
Darius and Fenmore. These names, they stand out, which is fitting for such strong characters. I was excited to see Darius story as I had seen his name in all of the Jacksonville division stories. I loved his sarcasm and loyalty to the men. All the team was vividly developed and demonstrated their feelings for the events, the people and outcome clearly. I don’t know how, but I hope Caitlyn comes back into this series or in her own. I am excited to be back with the Brotherhood world and for the rest of the teams stories!

WOW great start to this series. Captain Darius Ford did everything to protect his team, but things went bad fast. When they are dishonorably discharged, they become part of the Brotherhood Protectors and a chance to start over. When Fenmore comes to Darius about reopening their case there's' twist and turns, suspense, betrayal, danger and learning to trust again. Wonderful characters. Jen did a great job with Darius's story.

The Brotherhood Protectors series no matter if it’s the original series by Elle James or in the world and other authors write a protector's book, they are absolutely some of the best books I’ve ever read. After you put one book down you wish you had another. Team Raptor is the first book in this series as they head back to find our who sold out their team. I loved this book and can’t wait for another to arrive. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves the Brotherhood Protectors.

A great start to a new series. Darius hadn't always followed orders in the past, he did what he thought best to keep his men safe. On one op he received orders he new was wrong and he argued but in the end he did what he was told. And things went downhill fast. I could not put this down once started. Can't wait to read more.
Definitely would recommend reading this book.

A great new series from the Brotherhood Protectors world. Even though Darius and his teammates were other than honorably discharged, they left the military with their heads held high and landed with the Brotherhood Protectors in Fool's Gold, Co. Fenmore risked her career and her life to clear the dark cloud over Darius' team. Will they survive and get a second chance at an HEA? Read Jen Talty's amazing story and find out. A great start to another Brotherhood Protectors team series. Darius and his team have been dishonorably discharged from the military after a mission goes wrong. Fenmore is an FBI investigator who believes the team was wrongly accused. It is a fast paced story with the plot moving quickly. It is easy to read as you see Darius and Fenmore fall in love. Readers will get invested and be thrilled to read the entire series.
