Ora Shappel, a suburban 64-year old Jewish widow, travels to Israel to corroborate the details of a past life she experienced while under hypnosis. Both lifetimes, Ora's and her counterpart's, Julia Crispina, a Roman slave and prostitute, collide in a time warp of romance, politics, danger, and forbidden love.
The novel, Hold Fast the Time held my attention from beginning to end. Each character is developed beautifully! The author, being a therapist herself creates the characters in such a way that you feel as if you actually know them. The reader becomes involved in the plot and tries to figure out how this novel will end.
