Oh my gosh. It seems like such a cliche - it's a 1990s book with a terrible title and such an obvious plot - but it was so good! A sweet romance with real life obstacles in their way. No stalkers or drug lords here, but it definitely wasn't sappy. Mack had some moves on him and even though Carly was the good-girl, super mom-to-be, she did too. It wasn't really instalove, but close enough to that to surprise them both and give the story some tension. And bonus points the Christie Ridgway for somehow making pantyhose sexy - twice!
